Portal
I love my portal. My screen froze on my old one. Just had to have one to talk to my grand kids. They are little. Seeing them makes my heart hapoy

I hated this product
I'm still breathing hard. This was unnecessarily complext. It gave me the feeling that it had never been tested by someone who did not know how to work it prior to using it. On the one hand, it did seem nicely designed, and the build quality seemed solid. On the other hand, set up is too complicated. You essentially have to set up a facebook ...opps...meta account through WorkPlace...and then it is not clear how that connects to the monitor. I bought this to use in my office for clients who did not have a way to do zoom meetings. It utterly failed. It was too complicated. And, naturally, there are no instructions outside of what is in Workplace. And, then the Workplace instructions do not correspond to the UI. It looks like it went through several iterations, and the geniuses at Facebook...opps...meta did not think to update the documentation. A frustrating waste of time.

Changed my Daily Routine
I love this! I can sit in the comfort of my chair and just tell Alexa what I need. It's great for day to day as well as a handy 'encyclopedia' if you need to find out anything. Great party trick as well. Nothing I don't like about it. Easy to set up.

Inter connectivity with other platforms is not intuitive, for example photo transfers.

This product DOES NOT work
This version of the Portal is absolute garbage. The voice assistant features (i.e. "Hey Portal" and "Alexa") stopped working after a few months. Tried a factory reset and now I literally can't log back into my Facebook account. Completely useless.

Very impressed
The product came a day before the expected delivery date. The volume is super loud. Easy to set up. The clarity of the video was super great.

The fish eye cam that automatically zooms in is nice. But they tried way too hard to save money on hardware. The tablet is ridiculously slow. There's so much lag even just to access contacts. Forget trying to install other apps. They deliberately disabled that because the hardware obviously can't support that.
