Great boots and looks amazing
When you get the boots you have to take out the shoe strings and redo them . Otherwise itโs difficult to fit into. I dont like having to do that but otherwise i love the boots

A decent boot for the price.
I usually wear a size 12, depending on the brand. I wear size 11 Converse All-Stars and based on other reviews, I bought a size 11 and they fit just fine. The construction is ok, better than I had expected, but the brown is just paint over black material as you'll see after a few days of wearing them as it wears off from the tread. There is a bit of a synthetic materials smell to them but not like some people have commented. The smell didn't hit me until I opened the box and pulled them out, I left them on my floor for a couple days, they didn't stink up the house or even the room, and within 2 days there seemed to be no smell unless I put them to my nose. I wore these about 4 or 5 days out of the week for about 2 or 3 months, then when the warmer weather came along, I stopped wearing them. They have been fine, but don't have much cushion to them, if any. I purchased at $38 and I can't really complain, but I would have been happier at a lower price. They look great and I get lots of compliments on them, but they do squeak bad and it is annoying. Also, there's no grip on the bottoms, so if you're on a hard surface which may be wet or waxed, be very careful. I would buy these again but probably not for more than about $30.

Beautiful Boots
I barely write seller reviews for products and have never written a product review. But I had to write one for these boots because they are BEAUTIFUL. The pictures on the page do no not do them justice. They are perfectly shined and classy looking, but not too classy as to not be able to wear them casually. I love the wingtip style of them. I do not understand how these only cost me $29.80, because they look like they would cost at least $100. A lot of people complain about the smell of them, and yes, they do have a syntheitc material smell to them, but I don't think it's too bad. It's nothing I haven't smelled on similar shoes/boots before. I'm sure that after some time of wear or airing out they will be fine. Now when it comes to fit, they definitely do run large--and I have a wide foot. I normally wear a size 11 and initially ordered a half size down based on some review recommendations, but I ended up having to go the full size down to a 10, and they still have a little room in them, but fit well enough. I HIGHLY recommend these boots.

Good grief, where do I even start...
For those of you skimming reviews looking for purchasing advice for these shoes, don't waste your money. If I could give them zero stars I would. If you've got a minute, my saga of experience with these shoes are below: Ok, so a little context and back story: I was looking for a slightly nicer looking shoe that I could wear to my office job but would also be more comfortable than your typical dress shoe. A dresser boot seemed a good compromise. As a woman, I dont care for a lot of the styles in women's shoes, so I figured a mens shoes was probably going to be my best bet. Now, I was not entirely unfamiliar with the Ferro Aldo brand. Back in college (7 years ago?) I'd bought a pair of dresser men's boots from this brand through Amazon. Those boots were great, I had them for a few years and wore the heck out of them, despite the cheap pricing, and they held up well. Fast forward to a month ago and I remembered how much I loved the previous pair of boots I bought from this brand (plus they carried a mens 7 which is roughly equivalent to my size, a woman's 8.5) and I thought Id get another pair. This time around I went for the two tone brown with broguing on the toe. The boots arrived promptly and in excellent condition, although they seemed quite stiff (see picture one). I wore them once, and they were as comfortable as new shoes can be, fit was fine. But on the second wear, the left heel block completely fell off within 10 minutes of arriving at the office. (See picture 2). Because I didnt have another pair of shoes to change into and with literally nothing to stick the block back on with I resorted to scotch tape just to get me through the day (see picture 3). Kind of embarrassing, would not reccomend. Not willing to give up on the shoes because I really liked the style, although clearly the quality left much to be desired, I got some shoe glue and stuck the heel blaock back on. Everything was fine for a couple weeks, until I noticed that these shoes were deteriorating rapidly. (See last three pictures). The uppers (which of course werent leather) were peeling and creasing badly, the mid soles were cracking in several places, and the rubber portion of the heel block was coming away on the right shoe. Bear in mind, Im not walking great distances in these shoes. Granted I may walk more than the average person because I dont have a car, and am dependent on transit. But I work an office job sitting almost all day, and I walk to and from the bus/subway stops and these shoes couldn't even keep up with that. Im incredibly disappointed with the awful quality of these shoes. Absolute waste of money. I intend to contact the sellers, because shoes should a longer life of more than a few weeks. Do not buy these. I guess the pair i got in college was a fluke, because wow, these are a spectacular failure.

They look good for the price
They look good for the price. But there are some issues to be aware of and the other reviews are accurate. First, they are synthetic and not leather. For this price, you can understand that. I bought two sets of different colors. In each case the lighter color (brown or grey) looks very fake and not at all like leather. The darker part of the book looks enough like leather to fool you from 6 feet away. I like the side zipper as it makes them quick to put on. Quality is OK. Clearly these are a product from China. I suspect I will get some decent use out of these as rough/casual shoes. They did smell a bit like gasoline or rubber when I got them (as others have noted.) That smell went away about 75%. My biggest issue is that they are very hot. I guess you want that from a boot when it's cold outside, but the synthetic material does not breathe at all and they are too hot to wear unless it's cold out.

Nice buy.
These shoes are a bit larger as described. I wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8 which fit. They do have an oil/chemical like smell as others have stated. I cannot tell if it's due to the faux leather or if it's the material the sole is made out of. After a few days the smell has diminished but if you hold them up to your nose you can still smell it. Be warned when first opening the box as the scent will hit you in the face. They are comfortable but have a flat insole so there is no arch support. I have inserts so there's no problem there and still plenty of room. Online they look like dress shoes but when you have them in person they look more like boots. I feel it's the seam across the top of the foot that causes this. They still work well with my slacks so I continue to wear them. They're holding up quite well.
