Can a CTO filter be used in place of this?

Hi Justin, It is not recommended to stray away from the intended order of our filters and mix-n-match, but it will fit and it is physically compatible. That being said, the misuse of our filters voids any kind of warranty, so we would suggest otherwise. Please contact our customer service department at 678-261-7611 or via email at feedback@ispringfilter.com if you need assistance or if you have other questions, Kind Regards, iSpring Water Systems Tel: (678) 261-7611
