They stories themselves are amazing I recommend reading them all.This set of books is NOT a set of books. It's actually all four books in one giant book, This made it hard to read as it's big and uncomfortable to hold. I wish that I would have known this because I would NEVER have purchased this collection! I purchased this as a gift to my 84yr old mother and she had the hardest time hold such a large book, especially with her arthritic hands.

I saw this movie on TV and fell in love with the story. I borrowed the book from the public library. I LOVE Janette Oke's writing style, so had to purchase it. Yes, the book is thick and heavy, because it contains 4 books in this edition. Can't wait to finish reading all 4 stories.

I thought I enjoyed the first four books. This is a continuation of the family tree. I like how she continues to keep you up to date on all the family members.

This is a great Saga - I love Jeanette Oke's writing and this did not disappoint. This is a story of courage and heartache and the true pioneers that made America. I found the characters well rounded, and I couldn't put this book down. Jeanette Oke always has a Christian theme running through all of her writing but she doesn't preach or force opinions. I would highly recommend this book.

4 books in one is too big and heavy. Buy the books individually as this format is not worth it.

It is easy to become absorbed in the story. Hard to put down until finished.
