Quality MMA Shorts - Blank No Logo

First off , I'm an MMA , BJJ nut ! I also get super excited when I discover an exception product especially clothing , whether it be a t-shirt, pants or shoes that are made well, that look fantastic and most importantly fit perfectly , the way a well made great looking stylistically fashionable garment should . That said, you'd usually assume and rightly so , that the previously mentioned high qualities would naturally demand an equally high price , no ? Well , let me set the record straight , these shorts are the best shorts I've ever seen or owned, and I grew up working in my families sporting goods stores for over ten years . I've been an enthusiastic athlete my whole life, skate boarding, soccer, boby building , cycling ,boxing , BJJ, running and surfing , and had the necessary gear that's worn accordingly. I must repeat myself here because these shorts deserve the repetitive highlighted mention of excellence I feel , also I couldn't wait to leave a review after trying them on and giving them a serious going over , I've only ever left a few reviews in the 8 years or so that I've been an Amazon prime member ,so there's that. I'm not an employee nor am I being paid for this review, I'm just spreading the well deserved praise that I feel is necessary in todays climate of "expensive junk " that keeps circulating throughout the retail clothing market .

For the price, these shorts are great. I like the simple black design, The material is very stretchy and a little heavy for a synthetic, but not so much that you notice it while working out. The stitching and seams are well done, clean and strong. I ordered a size 36 and they fit a little loose. If they made a 35, they would've fit perfect. So if you know you will be cutting some weight pretty soon, you might be better off getting a size smaller than you normally wear. The only drawback I have with these shorts is with the inner waist band. There is a rubber friction band that presses against your waist to help prevent the shorts from sliding. Normally this feature is found in military and dress pants to help a shirt stay tucked in. I found it a little uncomfortable at first but quickly forgot about it while training. The rubber waist band did come in handy to hold my phone and wallet, due to the lack of any usable pocket. There is a small pocket attached to the inner waist band which can be used to hold a few bucks or a car key. Other than that, these are great shorts.

Opinion - These shorts fit well, and the features are exactly what I was looking for in a quality product which is what I received. I took a chance on these considering the competition is usually around the $55 mark and was pleasantly surprised by what I received. They've survived 2 tournaments and heavy training, I couldn't recommend them enough for BJJ and MMA training. This is perfect for anyone who wants quality and doesn't want to pay to advertise for a company.

These are like the generic brand for much more expensive (i.e., $80) MMA shorts. Buy these and save yourself a ton of money! They do run a bit large—if you’re on the fence between sizes, choose the smaller size. [One month later:] I like the rubberized waist band. However it is not enough to hold the shorts in place and keep them from twisting around the waist while grappling because (1) they don’t sell my size (33" waist), which runs a bit large and (2) they tend to expand/stretch out after about a half hour of use. If they sold a 32” waist, that would probably be perfect for me, but Amazon is only selling 30” or 34”, nothing in between. My return window has closed so I’m stuck with them; have purchased a pair of Elite MMA shorts (Med.) to take their place, these will be backups.

Though I have worked out and done martial arts for decades, I had always just worn whatever I could get at Walmart (which now seems to just be swimming trunks and basketball shorts). Finally broke down and got these and I LOVE them. Sturdy, flexible, secure, and look good. Only small downside is that because these are MMA shorts there are no external pockets (one key-sized pocket inside, only). This is so that no one catches a toe while grappling or whatever, but if you are wearing them to workout there is nowhere to put your ipod, etc. This is a negative that is easily overcome, however, and the many benefits of the shorts more than make up for it.

Great shorts, super light and loose enough to move around and do all types of kicks. I train Muay Thai and MMA with these shorts and they are really comfy, used them for two weeks now. One thing to know, they fit slightly small so order a size bigger than usual. I ordered a pair of 30's and got 32's, they fit perfectly.

I ordered these shorts because 1) blank, no logo 2) much of the buyer feedback was that they were too long for them. I was looking for longer shorts for MMA because I am tall guy and these are a perfect fit. I am happy with the length, they come down just below the top of my knee, if you are under 6'2" you may think these are too long unless you like them that way, which I do. They run true to size in the waist, I wear a 38" and these fit well, not too snug, (definitely not too tight on the gentlemen) not too loose. There is a double velcro system and a drawstring if you like them tighter. I have not rolled in these yet but the fabric is sturdy and seems durable, and there is a 4" slit on the outside of each leg. The quality feels comparable to other "name brands" that will run you $50-$70 dollars to be a walking advertisement. I bought these for function and not form (except I wanted them long), I would like a slightly wider waist band, these have about a 2" waist band. I really like the grey ones, I got the black ones too but not too wild about the sheen on the fabric but its a minor detail and these are for the mat, not the club. I really like these and will buy again.

Wow, I love these shorts. Sizing is spot on, I wear a 32, ordered a 32, perfect. Great gripper band and elastic, just enough to keep them in place. Drawstring is nice and fat, doesn't cut in to my abdomen. The fabric is very rugged but supple. Every seam is triple stitched, and the hems are nice and thick, which makes the legs fall nicely and stay down. Excellent freedom of movement. Used them tonight in muay Thai and sparring, they were just perfect. I'm 6-1, and the leg hits about an inch above my kneecap. On the longer side, but with the slits they work great. Outstanding quality for the price, I'm ordering another pair. By the way, I just realized these are exactly the same short as the Hayabusa Shiai, without all the graphics. Same same.

These shorts are very good. Quality is great. The waist is true to size. They are on the baggy and long side however. They go to mid knee. There is lots of room to move around. I’ve noticed some comments about the velcro. It’s pretty simple. Wash them in cold water or delicates and don’t put them in the dryer. These are good. I will be ordering different colours.
