Well made worked great right out of the box
The price was great. I read all the reviews and went with it. Glad I did. I did all the check's for accuracy. Made some small adjustments. Checked the Guage for accuracy. Ran a test piece of Oak through it.Perfect. This is going to give me lots of service with my 100 year old house that we are updating room by room. I do my own trim for windows and doors. I needed this tool and found the wright one at a good price. Noise level is fine, I do wear protection. The vacuum attachment worked great. Hardly any debris on the floor at all. I have in & out feed supports and recommend using them.Very happy with this

Good planner for the price
Purchased this based off of a detailed review of performance, so my expectations were realistic. My only surprise was the increased chatter that will sand out. For the much lower price it’s a good machine that I hope to get good results for years to come. Recommend this for someone who uses a workshop more than a hobby but not a business.

From tree to mill to masterpiece.
This box planer is amazing. I used it to plane planks cut from my Alaskan Chainsaw Mill. I put quite an amount of oak and poplar through this planer with only having to replace the blades once in two years. I do quarter and half turns for removing material. Triton lives up to its name and quality.

Good product for the price
Start off, this product came with a broken switch. I contacted Amazon and everything was taken care of. For the price of this product I have nothing to complain about. I've watched many reviews on different planers and for what I'm doing, which is coasters and river tables, it is perfect for. Unboxed the tables were almost set perfect with only a little bit of adjusting. We shall see after normal use but so far I would recommend this for the casual wood worker.

Not a Strong Performance
I ordered this planer out of Amazon Warehouse Deals (open box) so I do not know what the previous recipient(s) issues with the product are. I have had good luck with a lot of products purchased here so I gave the Triton TPT125 (used like new) a whirl. The machine appears sturdy and well built and after a few runs of cedar through at minimal planing depth the following occurred. The planer really struggled with 7/8ths aged soft rough cut cedar. I was attempting to remove the rough high textured wood to expose the weathered contrast on the lower grains. 1st try was a 11 1/2" board, it really bogged down on any high spots though the drive rollers were still moving the board but straining. I then cut the board in half at 5" and 6 1/2" with nearly the same sluggish results. It took 5 and 6 runs to knock @1/16" off the cedar. The depth crank knob moved up during operation which left inconsistent depths and I had to put a clamp on it to keep it in place. I had constructed a in/out feed extensions for planer (no snipe) never-the-less the in-feed tray rattled enough and finally fell off during operation. A positive note the motor never quit, got hot or kicked the on-board circuit breaker. I tried a clear piece of pine afterwords with slightly better results but still sluggish. Other factors: the planer was poorly re-packaged, it arrived upside down from USPS (shipping label on bottom) with a number of punctures in the box. Blades could have been dull on arrival, drive components could have been compromised in shipment. I would probably try a new machine but I am just a little gun shy after the used experience.

Decent value for the money
Its a value thicknesser, so there's that. I've never had or used a thicknesser before so maybe my issues are user error, but here's what I've found.- I was not getting consistent thickness across the width of the board, one side was always thicker. So I found that multiple passes on the same setting while flipping the board would fix this. I know you're not supposed to do that but I made sure the blades were good and sharp. When I did that the board was dead flat and even.- The blades were easy to remove and sharpen up.- I do not like the height adjustment, too often I keep bumping it when going back and forth with the boards. Also it has a tendency to vibrate itself to a different position.- The scale on there for setting the height is completely useless. It's so poor in my opinion that it actually angers me each time I look at it. What an absolute terrible design.- It's VERY loud, but again I have no reference point. ALWAYS wear hearing protection.
