Will this work for 1/0 aluminum??

I find when stripping URD or overhead triplex/quadplex I have to use the 2/O for 1/O, 3/O for 2/O, 4/O for 3/O, and the 250mcm for 4/O. This is due to the thickness of the insulation. Something to note is you'll want to score where you want to stop stripping since it's hollow and can pass-through the other side.

Can you buy and change the end pieces that determine what wire size it strips?

Yes there is blades you can buy and also change the location to what you prefer. They can go up to 750 MCM

Will this tool stripe large metric conductor cable from abroad for example 240mm?

I can't give you an accurate answer. Think of this as a large mechanical pencil sharpener. If you use the correct size wire in the corresponding hole it will strip...like a pencil sharpener would sharpener a pencil. Also think how you spiral peal a potato or orange. All that said...you can take, say a slightly smaller gauge wire and strip it in a larger diameter gauge hole but there will be some manipulation of the wire needed to strip it correctly. This thing is awesome and wish I'd of had it 20 years ago. My arthritis in my hands might not be so bad.

Will this work on actual Cable for the Cable company?

It won’t do a multi conductor cable like a 901 or 401 cable but anything similar to thhn or xxhw’s jacket thickness it’ll work. It’s not gonna work on any medium or high voltage wire with a semi con in it

Easily peels off cable insulation

Tool easily peels cables with cross link polyethylenes insulation jackets. Works so well it’s easy to peel off too much insulation! And that’s the only small issue, it’s hard to see how much bare cable has been exposed. Otherwise a must have tool when wiring with large gauge cable.Some reviewers described having to use the next larger hole 3/0 for 2/0 cable etc. Yes, it’s a tight fit pushing cable into the correct guage hole for peeling but that way the peeling knife digs right in and cuts the insulation off cleanly right down to the wire. Totally recommend this tool.Update:1st review involved 2/0 cable for powering an outbuilding.Current project is running power to a house with 4/0 cable. While the tool peeled 2/0 cable fine, the 4/0 cable would not go in the 4/0 hole and had to use the next larger size hole, the 250 MCM hole.Got the job done, still recommend the tool.

Excellent cable stripper. Worth the price.

One chonky tool! Worked perfect stripping the 2/0 and 4/0 cables. Basically a one time use tool for myself but saved me literally a couple thousand not having to hire an electrician to do the work so TOTALLY worth the cost! Very good build quality.
