Short summary: It's well researched and includes a method of alchemy similar to ancient Taoist principles. A sort of martial art that allows you to be reminded that we did not peace, light and love our way to the top of the food chain. John's writing style is thorough and straight to the point. His outlook is very well balanced, and I'd have gladly payed a lot more for how useful this book has been to me in a week of practice where years of struggle was met with many red herrings. It's helping me actually.... Work THROUGH my PTSD and self hate and spirit attachment... Something that's changed my outlook and recentralized my perspective back to thinking predator factory settings.Don't buy this book if you'd prefer to deliver things to the light, prefer the white filter that neglects anything else but light and love, buy into positive thinking to cure all ills, or abide by harm none. This book probably won't be to your liking.Buy this book if you don't fall into the above category but aren't looking to "become" a psychic vampire as that's not why the term vampire is on the cover. Buy this book if you want to try something that gets results and doesn't require some kind of summoning, or if you want to learn a highly rewarding system that teaches you to tap into your inner beast and feed it while making your world and the world a better place.Long rambling fanatical review (expect a minimum of coherence with what follows): So, I've had a toxic attachment that I can physically feel gnawing and stabbing and burning and creating types of pain for me that I can't describe. This has gone on for years,I am not, and was not a novice by any means of the word when I got this attachment. I'm a certified Reiki master and have been working with psionics and other self-discovered healing modalities for most of my life and all of my adult life. Removing parasites and attachments from others of varying complexity is not new to me.It was with great chagrin and embarrassment to myself that I got a parasite/attachment that I couldn't shake. As a magician I'd tried countless rituals from simple things like a hyssop purging bath to things from my own toolbox like void displacement therapy, to void/everything bursts, positive affirmations, someone did a compel spell on the entity commanding it to die, all it did was jump hosts to the practitioner and another one took its place on me.There are many, many, countless things I'd been looking into to oust this thing for a long time. Most of it dealt with things that don't and didn't work, like calling white light, working with Michael, ignoring it (it's really difficult for that last one when you can physically feel tentacles stab into you or slither around day in and day out), various reiki symbols I found online, or asking some alien presence to come about and remove it. Other sources would reference positive thinking and non violence.... That last bit fell flat on its face, reiki taught me there was a purpose to my rage and helped to sharpen my talons and fangs and give me a clear understanding of my role as a predator, and the necessity of precise destruction (yes, you read that right, and yes, a struggle of mine is "just for today, I will not anger").Matter of fact, most of the methods that claim to know how to deal with issues like this go square against my honed predatory instincts that allowed me to conquer my would be bullies, or rend non-universally aligned entities for their trespass. It worked against my warrior instinct and experience and, from an evolutionary standpoint, went well against natural observable laws we're ultimately bound to if we want to survive.Aside from that, I'm a philosophical Taoist, I cannot fill you in on all the verses of all the sacred Taoist texts, my pursuits have been to find the Tao via tearing reality apart layer by layer etc etc blah blah blah. - Please understand, I'm not saying all this is not to puff myself up but to come to a conclusion in the next paragraph-The reason for the above is I just got involved with a major change working found in other books by other authors and I'd dredged Google dry of results not light or loving something away, or calling on something or spending money I don't have for a shaman to possibly remove the attachment or involving quitting my vices.I hit a sad realization that, as a warrior, it's difficult to find things to thank work with your mindset as passivity usually is the name of the game... Then, after those workings, I searched Kindle for the umpteenth time going down the road of insanity (which is OK, Insanity happens to be my religion), next thing you know, this book showed up. Its title sort of made me hesitant, then I read the description. Hope soothed my despair and in its place a knowing occurred that this was going to click. So, let me illuminate you with the reason this book has five stars.1. It works. Point blank, it works, I've still got the attachment, but of all the things I've tried, they've fizzled out after a week at most as the thing would trigger a panic attack or trigger a PTSD attack or both....2. It clicks with my understanding, almost exactly, with the way the world and universe works. Idk how many times, as a Reiki practitioner, I've found myself on the judgemental side of a "light and love debate" as people don't grasp that "Heal to the highest good" also means death,and because I don't see a high force like reiki teaching someone to advance to passivity which is unnatural and counter productive to our evolutionary role and would completely at odds with the universe and our mother Earth. John brings up that we're apex predators, and at this time we should act like that. He points out how unnatural it is to submit to an illusory system of control when nature's rules that our ancestors excelled at, eat or be eaten, still applies to us all. This is balanced out by the fact that he reminds the basic principle that energy is just energy, your intent, or the intent of others only charges it... That last part made my palm strike my face because "Duh!" if I want to charge a stone, I've got to add my intent to the stone with the energy or it's just an energized stone.....3. This one is tied to the second reason, but deserves its own bullet. John points out a system to teach you it's okay to unleash the beast full throttle and to make the world a better place. There's so much toxic "psychic sludge" strangling nature right now that is so much more detrimental to the environment than a hundred oil spills. I've seen its effects on nature firsthand as it was destroying the once pristine forest I lived in. By consuming your own negativity you are saving your energy, by consuming outer sources of negatively charged energy you are turning the malicious intent of opposition into empowerment, and learning to thrive whilst taking power away from the thing that bullies you etheric or physical. It's walking into an environment of rundown toxicity, sucking up that juicy energy, transmuting it into a better charged type of energy and benefitting while your environment thanks you all while putting your mind at ease that you've found a very powerful and satisfying role for your genetic predatory drive.Don't get this book if you're looking for fluff. Trust me, the Internet is full of it and you can follow that modality effortlessly.Do get this book if you'd like a well written, well researched method that works. You will not be disappointed, and, no, you will not turn into a psyvamp, you'll learn that's not necessary to oust yourself from sheep mode to your genetic heritage as one of the top apex predators on the planet.

I have to confess that I think I snorted when I first stumbled across this book accidentally and read the title. I jumped to conclusions from the cover and immediately started thinking it was probably some really bad cosplay pantomime in written form or something. Rolling my eyes and anticipating some talk about "the vampyre" I was like ok, morbid curiosity, I need to see what this is all about. So I peeked inside.If I can talk clearly through the humble pie I'm eating, let me say that I could not have been more wrong in my kneejerk reaction. I should maybe also add that after reading this book, I ended up purchasing every single other book written by this author and proceeded to read every single article on his website. And watch every single video on his YouTube channel. Why?Because I wish someone would have sat me down as a little kid and explained everything that is in this book. The world would have made so much more sense to me and I would have had a fighting chance against those things, as they say, that go bump in the night. For those whose discernment levels are high to redlining, you will recognize the truth in this book about what we are dealing with and fighting against that most people can't see but a lot of us can sense. It's sort of a peek behind the scenery to see how the world Really Works energetically and how there are a lot of things out there that are actually severely hampering our spiritual, energetic, and normal waking lives. John Kreiter clearly identifies the culprits for this (you will read about NEGPs and PNOBs, for example), and bonus ... he actually clearly and concisely lays out extremely practical and effective ways to protect yourself from them.This is not woo woo out there stuff, book title notwithstanding. Do you have thoughts? Are you around people who think thoughts? Thoughts become things, and often not very nice things, and they can get together with other like minded (thoughtted?) things and wreak utter havoc on a person. So this book is not just for the practitioner or the ghostbuster (though I would require it as mandatory reading for anyone in this line of work), it's for everyone who thinks, therefore they are. Oh if Descartes could have read this . . .I would strongly recommend following this up by reading his Overcoming the Archon through Alchemy next, as they do really seem to go together and the latter goes into much more detail about what we are really dealing with out there. You just might need to take a deep breath before you do.Another thing that I really love about this book and in all of the author's books actually, is that he exudes a kindness, gentility, and compassion towards the reader that is so often completely absent in books dealing with psychic protection and the paranormal. It feels like he sees the bigger picture and is truly dedicated to helping people who are awakening to wider perceptive abilities.This book has made a world of difference in my life. I have been continually assaulted and harassed by these shagnasties in all their various forms and have had ample opportunity to field test out of the Kreiter toolbox presented in this book. His stuff works. And it feels so deeply satisfying to not only now know what I'm up against, but how to stop it and even come out ahead int he transaction energetically. I'll say it again. It works. Not just some of the tools or in some vague unclear way where you can't really tell, but all of it, and with a high degree of efficacy. This book explains the problem and gives solutions in a way that no one else anywhere has up until now. That's what makes it revolutionary.

I really enjoyed reading this authors perspective and also his writing style. As I progressed through the chapters, I saw myself easily adopting his mindset of empowerment, as well did I feel myself embracing his attitude. John Kreiter clearly understands energy and successfully transmuted this reviewer's brain, as was his intent, through the words (energy), and word patterns (energy) he chose to write this title with.What I really enjoyed about Vampire's Way to Psycic Self Defense is how natural and practical the ideas felt in contrast to a lot of other self help books. Though, I wouldn't place this title in the "self help" section, due to it being so much more than that. Although an added bonus, was not originally the purpose for me ordering this.Not only does the authors understanding of energy endow the reader to release any victimhood belief systems, he also replaces those systems with a seed of potency, implants that seed into your mind, waters (feeds) it with wisdom, then allows it to grow into something extremely powerful as you continue through the chapters.If you're interested in energy manipulation/transmutation/absorbtion and wanted to gather some more tools for practice, I would highly recommend the Vampire's Way to Psychic Self Defense. You will be given an extremely strong foundation to work with. I'm grateful to have been recommended this book and highly recommend it to others.

Worked for a few days, then it went downhill. Not for me and that's fine.

You learn to transform negative energies into positive energies through an easy technique. I would argue that there are also other ways to transform the power of the opponent into positive energy. This is my personal experience, but I don't want to repeat it here. But everyone can experience it for himself from the inside. But the principle is ingenious and that's why I award the full star number. If you have read the book, you can, depending on what you have for a situation, sometimes protection or sometimes the transformation of negative energies for you. The exercise is worthwhile. Thanks to the author and the spiritual world that gives us these gifts.

I appreciated reading this and look forward to reading the rest of their books, I especially like the social predatory construct something I've found myself doing but not put into the same context before reading
