Pokemon Shining Pearl - Nintendo Switch Shining Pearl Edition

Super fun game! 12 year old loves it. 10 year old has a great time with it too so it's not too difficult. A great buy for anyone who is a fan of pokemon.

Came flawless in the original box that still had the cellophane on it. Underrated game, and a nice dip into the switch games without deviating into the open world quite yet.

If you're a true fan of the franchise you'll definitely find this remake an awesome installment to the series. With the 3rd person releases being some people's first experience with Pokemon video games, I can see why they would be disappointed. The overhead chibi design is less eye candy, more nostalgic artwork. This game will not get you overly frustrated or excited, but allow for some laid back Pokemon catching (remember this game is compatible with "Home"). That being said it was developed by ILCA (developers of "Home") who were brought on to create BD/SP while Gamefreak focused sole attention on "Arceus". If you liked "Link's Awakening" and/or "Echoes of Wisdom" and a fan of that franchise, as a Pokemon fan, you will love this title.

I was excited to see how this compared to the original game, which I really enjoyed. I don't like how the characters, while wandering around Sinnoh, look rather like bobbleheads. But the rest of the graphics are just fine.

If you loved playing diamond/pearl when it first came out, then you’ll LOVE playing brilliant diamond and shinning pearl. I’m not a fan of the chino art style, but honestly when I actually had the game in my hands it doesn’t look that bad. Looked pretty nice seeing it in person. The game is still very fun just like I remember when I was a kid playing it. I know a lot of people have a problem with the exp share being on all the time and I do notice that I’m a bit high leveled. That doesn’t exactly bother me since I’m just playing the story right now so it’s whatever, I do wish there was an option to turn it off. The visuals look great, seeing all these old scenes remade is amazing and this whole game was a great trip down memory lane. If you liked playing the originals then this is a MUST so buy it now! Also one thing I’d like to note is that this is a diamond and pearl remake, not platinum. So don’t expect to many platinum elements. Overall I’m enjoying the game and thank you to Amazon for sending me this a day early! It really made my whole day better to come home from a long day of work to see this in my mailbox! On a last note, when you get near post game this game DOES get pretty hard out of nowhere so if you like a challenge you’ll love this part. The gym leaders and e4 get harder and have fully ev trained Pokemon the second time you fight them. As a competitive player I LOVE this addition to the game. I’m sure others will too!

This game is so fun! I had the same game on my DS as a kid and it’s been awesome to relieve some of those memories while playing!

I played over 100 hours in game and have really loved it because diamond, pearl and platinum were one of the first pokemon games I ever played. This brought back a lot of childhood memories and I love the grand underground it not only makes some of the version exclusive pokemon available in the other game and the secret base feature is the only thing lacking in it making the base solely for statues was not a good idea but can't complain, it makes catching pokemon I loved a lot easier to find and catch. The method to catch legendary pokemon in Ramana's park is really good cant wait to see if they bring in events to catch pokemon from future generations like gen 5 or above. The thing I like most about these games are that there is no overpowered features like dynamax, megas or z moves its a vanilla pokemon game and I like that. Really look forward to future events.
