Como aficionado al afeitado clásico y usuario habitual de maquinillas de doble filo, decidí probar este kit de Viking Revolution por su presentación atractiva y la promesa de ser un “set de lujo”. Tras varias sesiones de afeitado, comparto aquí una valoración honesta y técnica para quienes estén considerando su compra. 🔧 Maquinilla de doble filo: Construcción metálica con buen peso y equilibrio. El cabezal sujeta bien la cuchilla, sin holguras ni desalineaciones, y ofrece un afeitado seguro y eficaz. Aunque no tiene las especificaciones milimétricas de marcas premium como Merkur o Rockwell, en la práctica funciona con precisión más que suficiente para un afeitado diario cómodo. Con cuchillas afiladas (he probado Astra SP y Feather), ofrece resultados limpios en dos pasadas. 🖌️ Brocha de tejón puro: Buena densidad y forma del nudo, con mango ergonómico. El pelo es natural, lo que implica un olor fuerte al abrirla (nada raro en brochas de tejón). Recomiendo lavarla con agua tibia y jabón neutro antes del primer uso. Tras el tercer lavado, el olor desaparece y la brocha se comporta de forma excelente: retiene agua, genera espuma con facilidad y tiene una sensación suave pero firme en la cara. 🧴 Aceite pre-afeitado y bálsamo post-afeitado: El aceite tiene una textura ligera, no grasa, y facilita el deslizamiento de la cuchilla, especialmente útil en zonas sensibles como el cuello. El bálsamo tiene efecto calmante, aroma discreto y no deja residuos. Ambos productos cumplen su función sin destacar por formulaciones sofisticadas, pero son agradables y eficaces. 🧼 Tazón y soporte: El tazón es de tamaño adecuado para espumar con comodidad, aunque no tiene base antideslizante. El soporte es funcional, mantiene la brocha y la maquinilla en posición vertical, lo que ayuda a conservarlos y mantener el orden. Let me start off that I hate shaving and I have really sensitive skin so shaving really irritates it, and I've had a beard for a long time, but my job requires me to shave once a year for my respirator certification. Everything in the kit is of decent quality, the pre shave oil and after shave balm are really nice and smell good. The razor itself has a decent weight and is comfortable to hold and use, the 10 pack of razors is good. The brush is okay but could be better I was having to pick out bristles in my lather. the bowl is good and helps make a good thick lather. The stand for the razor and brush is a nice touch. This is a really good price point for everything you get in the kit. Although I didn't use the shave shave soap, I used Porasso shaving cream instead off a recommendation from a friend. After using this kit it gave me a really close and smooth shave, and for the first time my skin isn't irritated after shaving, and I'll never use a cartridge razor again. The kit made something I rather dislike a nice enjoyable experience.

Been looking at switching to a safety razor for some time. This went on sale during Prime Days so I pulled the trigger. Everything is in the kit you need to start shaving right away with a safety razor. The brush is nice and so is the bowl. I find the razor handle is a good average shaver to help decide if it's for you or not. The blades get me at least 4 shaves. I shave only once every 5 days or so. Which means my hair is longer than normal stubble. The soap is the best part of the kit. I love it and get a great lather. The razor glides super smooth. I will be upgrading the kit down the road. So far added Viking's Spiced Vanilla cream to try. An Alum Block and a wood container to store the soap when not in use. But as of right now I have everything I need. And I will never be going back to disposable razors. Very small learning curve for me at least. So much so I use the razor for my body shaving as well now. Down the road might upgrade to a Viking adjustable razor but that's a ways down the road. The best thing about this is the ritual. I shave at night and find this helps calm my mind down as I am forced to focus just on the shaving. It keeps me away from electronics or my phone before bed and I seem to get a better sleep because of it. So to sum up.... Very happy with this purchase.
