I am using at work with soft phone. Cant hear call fine but i cant hear it ring. Any suggestions. Otherwise, i will have to return.

I’m sorry I can’t answer. I only hear it ring periodically myself.

Does it have mute button on the headset?

Yes, but it doesn't show as muted on the screen of my cell phone. It's hard to tell if it's muted if you use the button on the headset.

Will I be able to answer a call from the headset while away from my computer?

NO. I have had two of these and neither will answer or end calls. Have to use the phone or computer it's connected to for that. I do not recommend.
