This stuff Really Works!
Many cats get dumped in our backyard for whatever reason and we take care of ALL of them. But one particular cat I noticed had NO business being outside! So I took him into my home and into my heart. He has been a true joy! HOWEVER! He is so anxiety ridden, with excessive yowling and has separation anxiety issues! Who knows where he came from or WHAT happened to him. He is just the sweetest thing! But I knew I needed some help so I went to Pet Smart and they recommended this product. You just plug in the diffuser and it calms him right down! It is amazing to see the difference in him! If you have a cat (not for dogs) that is anxious all the time, I truly promise it worth the price, which is rather expensive, but well worth it for your fur babies piece of mind! **Update!** I have purchased several as I need one every month. I have noticed that for some reason sometimes it works and many times it does NOT WORK! WHY!? I have a cat who is a constant, incessant yowler! I love him and it hurts my heart that he suffers from such anxiety! But it is driving me crazy! I hate to say it, but I really think this is the very reason why he was abandoned! I don't know what else to do! Just be aware that this product is not consistent with it's effectiveness!

Well worth the money!
I have been buying these pheromones for my cat every single month for the past several years. They work so well! My cat tends to act aggressively, to the point that we were worried about our safety and the safety of my dog. These pheromones calm her down so much! We can always tell when the bottle needs to be replaced because the cat starts bouncing off the walls and running around the house. As soon as we install a new diffuser bottle, she is back to her calm self. This product is worth the money.

I am seeing a difference in my cat's behavior
I purchased the Feliway Classic Diffuser first at the vet's office to see if it would help with one of my cats' elimination on rugs and furniture. The cat is very skittish, even though she's lived with us for years. I first used it in a large bedroom, but it was plugged in about 10 feet away from one of the places where the cat sleeps. I don't think it had much of an effect. She mostly stays in one corner of the bedroom, but later in the afternoon moves to a different location, which happens to be next to an outlet. I moved the diffuser over there, and I think it is having a positive effect on her. When I pet her in her other spot, she is very vocal, as if she thinks I'm going to take here outside to clip her nails (she hates that). But when I come home from work and approach her to pet her when she's laying next to the Feliway, she is quiet, and gets into a more relaxed position, stretching out and enjoying the attention. Also, the frequency of her elimination on the rug has decreased, so I do think the product is making a difference. I recommend the product, but with some caveats: 1) Probably most effective in smaller rooms. 2) If in a larger room, I think the cat needs to be within a few feet from it, especially if you have a ceiling fan on in the summertime. There was no miraculous change in her behavior, but these refills are inexpensive enough that I am willing to keep using them to see if there is a longer term change in her behavior. I recommend them as a relatively inexpensive refill for the Feliway Classic Diffuser.

Coming out of the closet
After 5 months my kitty went from spending large portions of the day hiding in the closet to spending more time in the same room with me. I could tell it was working within the first couple of weeks as she would come out of the closet an hour or two earlier. And, when I missed replacing it on time, I noticed a change in her behavior. Now she barely hides in the closet anymore! Some days I even wish she would spend more time there. So know what you are getting into. Sadly, she is still terrified of ceiling fans so it does not take all anxiety away, but she has a much better wuayof life. Highly recommend.

calms my cats and is especially good for one who has health problems
I have four cats and they usually get along, but sometimes there are tense moments. Also, one of them is 12 years old and has had issues with his blood pressure as well as pretty constant eye issues for the past several months (don't worry, he has visits every few weeks to a veterinary ophthalmologist), plus he has inflammatory bowel disease. So, I really wanted something to help calm all the cats down as well as to deal specifically with the one who is having health problems. I had had a Feliway diffuser in the past (and still had the diffuser part) so I bought this replacement reservoir. I'm really happy with this. I do think the cats are less stressed. (I actually have one diffuser in the bedroom and one in the master bathroom, since I keep the cats up there when I am gone for the day.) The ill cat is having a very long string of good days. Of course part of that is keeping up with his medications and eye drops, but I think this is also helping. He is more up for exploring the house and he is pretty affectionate and he is not hiding under the bed as much. I find I have better luck with the Ceva product (as opposed to Comfort Zone, which also turns up if you search "Feliway" on Amazon). The pheromones are slightly different and, for whatever reason, the Ceva refills are more calming to my cats. This only lasts maybe three weeks before it is pretty empty. My diffuser doesn't have any place to do an adjustment to the temperature or heat settings so it runs at a constant rate. But, I am willing to pay for one of these refills every three weeks because of the difference this is making for my cats, especially the older, chronically ill guy. (Actually, my calico cat recently started purring after 7.5 years of me never hearing a single purr from her. I can't positively link this to the diffuser but she does FINALLY seem to be mellowing out. It's possible there is some connection.) Also, this doesn't have a smell to humans. If yours smells hot or like plastic or something, unplug it right away and get a new plug-in diffuser part (buy a starter kit instead of a refill).

This has the pheromone triggers needed to soothe our pets, in the way that our pets need to be.
It is different to soothe and calm an animal than it is to calm a human being. I tried another companies product online before this one, and if you truely need to calm your animal with pheromones, this is the only one that will do that. I worked for veterinarians for years previously, and I haven't found another product that can and does what feliway products do for our animals. My 1&1/2 year old male cat was marking his territory after moving into a new apartment with me that has carpet, not hardwood flooring. I also have a 5 years old that adores him, maybe a bit too much, and a two year old, that still doesn't understand how strong he is, so that's stressful for my cat as well. It's also stressful for my cat because my children spend time with me some days and then stay with their dad other days. He was marking my kids room and the main living/Dinning room, heavily. I had a few people inform me that they smelled it when walking into my apartment, and I immediately came to Amazon to fix this issue within the home, but choose the cheaper diffuser to start; after 2 weeks and two bottles of no marking spray later, I realized that the other kits sold online aren't feliway, they donot have the right pheromone triggers. As soon as I plug this one in instead, as well as kept cleaning the areas that he was pro-dominantly marking with an enzymatic cleaner (nature's miracle advanced no more odor) my cat started to relax a lot more than he had been, and has stopped using my carpet as his territorial play ground. Yes, this takes work, and a lot of work on any owners end. Find out what the trouble is, after you've gone to your vet to make sure they don't have any infections or diseases that they are trying to tell you they are uncomfortable due to, and make sure you help them calm down with this brands diffuser's and plug ins for their diffuser's. Make the extra attempts to reassure your animal that there are other ways to get their energy out, and that you love them and will try anything they need to make sure that they feel at home and safe and comfortable with you and your family again. Even the move could have triggered this for my cat, however he had so many different stresses within such a short period of time, that as his owner it is my fault for not doing my part by purchasing a product like this for him ahead of time, to ensure I had made sure that he wasn't stressed out enough to start doing these things in our home. Remember we have domesticated cats, but their instincts are still their instincts and we can't change that they have them. Our animals love us, so show them the same compassion and love that they show you. It is similar and you can take steps that you would do if you were potty training a child, and try to recorrect the bad behaviors proactively, not cruelty. I highly recommend feliway products. They can be purchased through your veterinary office, or online through a valid seller.

Not for my cat animal
I know that this product is often recommended by veterinarians, and I know that it can be very useful in many cat anxiety situations. However, it did not seem to have any impact on my particular cat. A pity really because I was hoping it would be an easy solution to some of the anxieties that she demonstrates. Therefore, I would recommend that you get a single container if you have not used this with your cat before. If you have used it before, and it has a positive impact on your cat then without doubt this is the most economical way to get refills.

This is a lifesaver for older cats
My cat is 18 years old and recently started having bladder inflammation problems due to stress. We got the Feliway diffuser set to try to calm her down and it worked like a charm! She hasn't had any more bladder issues and is a lot happier. Can't recommend enough!

... a 17 year old deaf cat who is not happy about it
We have 2 feral kittens that we are socializing and a 17 year old deaf cat who is not happy about it. They are separate but share a common barrier through which they can see each other. There is a diffuser in each area. Since the kittens are doing well we assume that that one is helping but we know that the one in the older cat's area is working because she stopped howling at night (as some deaf cats will do) when we put it up. Expensive but worth the money. Word of caution - at first we had a diffuser behind an electonic piano which had a plastic cover to protect it from the kittens. The plastic, unbeknownst to us, attracted the oil being diffused and the whole cover and piano were saturated with oil. Fortunately, no harm to the piano. Be sure to put them in an area that isn't covered up and where there's no plastic nearby to attract the diffused oil.

Absolutely useless. Don't waste your money.
This product is sooo expensive and does absolutely nothing. I have had it plugged in for about a week now and zero effect. My two Indie male cats spray pee right next to the diffuser. Moreover it didn't even come with a diffuser. It is just a refill for this hefty price. I had to use one of my own mosquito repellent diffusers with this refill. Will leave it on for another few weeks and update my review if I see any change.
