The Coding Manual for Qualitative Researchers

Great resource to have while working on my doctoral degree.

While taking my doctoral qualitative methods class, I ordered this book as a supplement to my course materials. It proved invaluable for my class and I will continue to reference it as I work on my dissertation.

Worth the dollars..

Overall ok but some minor highlights

Used this for my dissertation.

Book in fantastic condition!

In terms of content, this manual is highly useful for quali. researchers--easier to digest compared to others of similar nature and is really meant for early career academics. In terms of delivery service, the item was shipped efficiently and smoothly. In term of quality of the item itself, its cover is a bit thinner compared to the ones bought in-store since our library and a colleague own copies, so I can compare (must have something to do with this batch produced).

I’m writing a dissertation in practice using a methodology that, from what I can find, hasn’t been used before (Van Tiem, Dessinger, and Moseley’s performance improvement model). There is no guidance as to how to go about coding, so I’m having to create my own path and be sure to still find lots of justification around it.I’m thisclose to dedicating my final document to Saldaña 😂 While the examples are definitely more geared toward social justice, his quick explanations of each coding method make it really easy to figure out what I should do next. All qualitative research courses should have this as an assigned textbook.
