I already had Alan Lee's Scrapbook for LOTR and finally got this one for the Hobbit. As someone who likes to doodle, I love to look at Lee's artwork and just imagine what it must be to not only be able to draw like that but to think like that! Beautifully rendered and the volume came to me in great shape.

If you liked Alan Lee's The Lord of the Rings sketchbook, you'll like this one. The quality of the physical book & design remains the same (top notch!). He has the same thoughtful commentary throughout - background on what inspired various concepts as well as revelations about his own methods (specific paint colors he favors, etc). There is plenty of art to feast the eyes on - I consider Mr Lee to be one of the greatest living illustrators and this book only serves to solidify that view.

Excitedly added to my Tolkien book collection! I love the quality, the art, all of it.

Los libros son unas piezas de arte, Alan Lee es un maestro en la ilustración del mundo de Tolkien; no tengo ninguna queja sobre los libros. La queja es el envío por parte de Amazon. Los libros no tenían plástico protector pero tampoco le pusieron algún protector (burbujas o almohadillas), para que no se golpearan o arrugaban. Al libro de Sketch del Señor de los Anillos se le arrugaron varias hojas por este problema.

Kitap tertemiz bir durumda teslim edildi. Ciltli ve dış kapağı da hasarsızdı. İçerik olarak Alan Lee'nin sanatını ve Tolkien evrenini nasıl algıladığını görüyor, okuyorsunuz. Tolkien sevenler için muazzam bir kitap.

Mi sembra sia un volume molto ben fatto, contiene illustrazioni bellissime e la qualità della carta mi sembra molto buona. Lo consiglio!
