Cryptograms Special

I have not yet received a single copy, and it has been 8 weeks since I ordered. I actually love the Kappa Cryptograms Special because it has a variety of types of puzzles which are fun and challenging to work. These are great puzzles to teach student spelling and word order of sentences, interesting historical facts, a bit of geography, how to figure words whose letters are all replaced with numbers and made into a crossword puzzle without giving hints as to what word goes where. I have taught my high school English classes how to work the cryptograms and give extra points to the student who correctly completes his/her answer to the puzzle. The students would pick up the day's puzzle on their way into the classroom, take them to their seats and work them while I checked the roll and other beginning of the period duties. The best thing is that the students loved them. I am "chomping at the bit" for more puzzles to arrive!

The books are great....when we get them. Issues arrive out of monthly order and sometimes not at all. So far we have missed 3 issues completely and when we file a complaint, they are rarely satisfactorily resolved. The reliability of Kappa's delivery is very frustrating. Sad to say so, because the puzzles are very entertaining.

I haven't been able to find individual copies of this magazine for quite some time. I can't wait for this to start coming in on a regular basis. This is my favorite of any cryptograms I've ever found. I just wish it would hurry up and get here!

Actually it’s a little disappointing. The magazine is smaller than the past, there seem (not sure) to be less puzzles, but the worst is the paper quality. Ink from other page peeks through making it harder to read. Also it’s harder to read what I write (with pencil of course). May cancel subscription. We’ll see after I use it some more. But so far, not good.

My husband loves these puzzles. It took awhile to receive it.

Bought this for my dad, he loves it. Much better price than what it is in the store and nice to have it delivered without any worries through out the year.

Like everything.

I keep my brain working by testing it against these cryptograms daily. A good buy for those so inclined.
