Why is this so expensive i can buy it for $12.99 a gallon locally where i live in the north east?

I was wondering the same thing. My Amazon told me I last purchased this exact gallon sized container in 2017 for just under $18. Now it's $38? That's some crazy inflation! I'll find another more reasonably priced brand.

Can it be used in a Turkey frying?

It's food grade coconut oil, since coconut oil is fine for deep frying food you should be fine. This doesn't have any coconut taste or smell either so you won't have a coconut turkey.

The container seems small for one gallon (height = 8.1"). Will one gallon of liquid fit in the empty container?

I've not tried to to add liquid to an empty container, but I'm pleased with the size and the contents. I believe it is a gallon container.

what is the difference between cold pressed and expellar pressed?
