Simply Organic Pure Ground Nutmeg, 2.3 Ounce Jar

This is stellar nutmeg. It was the first time I'd tried this brand and I was impressed. It has a good potent nutmeg smell and flavor. I put most of my spices into other small spice bottles, but this container is very heavy and well made, so I kept it in it's container. It's a quality spice and I use it in a number of things from desserts to savory dishes. Make sure you store it, as other spices should be stored and that's out of direct sun and in a cooler location. One of my favorite quick desserts is "Brandy Ice." You take vanilla ice cream and soften it a little. Then, mix in a small amount of Brandy or Brandy Flavoring. Put it in attractive dessert or champaign glasses and sprinkle nutmeg on the top of each. I highly recommend this nutmeg seasoning. Thank you for reading my review.

I love the smell of Nutmeg, and the taste....oh my! Simply Organic is my favorite brand for most herbs. They always taste fresh. The overall quality is exceptional. The health benefits are surprising when it comes to nutmeg, it's more of a powerhouse than people give it credit for. It supports bone health, aids in detoxing the liver, boosts moods, enhances blood circulation and a myriad of other good things. Of course, it loses something when it's covered in pesticides, that's why I always buy Simply Organic Herbs and Spices.

It took me 20+ years to go through my jumbo jug of nutmeg, and all I could remember of it in recent years is being grit. I figured I should get a smaller size next time around... Sure, there are cheaper options than Simply Organic's, but this one spoke to me and I'm glad I listened. First of all, the packaging is exceptionally practical and minimalistic, being a thin cardboard sleeve that folds in at the ends for insulated protection against impacts. No taping required. I knew as soon as I saw that, this is a good brand. The metal cap screws on nice and tight, and should provide a better freshness seal than typical plastic flip-open tops (especially when they start caking up and don't close well). The plastic snap-in piece below it has very generously sized shaker holes, so there's no need for dual flip-open sides for shaking and pouring. Finally, the flavor blew me away! I had long forgotten -- if I ever knew -- that nutmeg could be so richly flavored. A small sprinkle of this Simply Organic Nutmeg runs circles around a big clump of the old stuff.

Love nutmeg in many recipes and this one is very good. Will purchase again and has a strong flavor and tastes good and is a good size for what I currently need. More reasonable than supermarkets.

Love it. Glass jars for spices all the time! The shaker has both holes and a pouring spout. Metal lid thst won't crack to protect the spice's scent and flavor integrity. Organic.

I've been a fan of simply organic's products in the past but for some reason never considered their nutmeg. I'm glad I decided to go with their nutmeg instead of another brand, the taste and quality is really above any other brand I've tried in the past. The reason I bought it was for making egg-nog which this year has made a huge difference. Thanks simply organics!

Compared to the bottle I had used in my spice cabinet, I could not believe the aroma of this nutmeg. Is this what nutmeg is supposed to smell like? Wow. I used less than I had with my old bottle - way less. This experience makes me think this nutmeg is very fresh. Also, the bottle is 1/3 larger than the standard size in the grocery stores.

Me costó encontrar este producto en tiendas normales pero el amaZon fue tan sencillo, además me encanta que es orgánico ya que la mayoría de mis especias son orgánicas. La uso para recetas ayurvedicas. Love it!
