easy install but missing 2 bolts

Like those before me this is a good product but it would have been nice to have had some instructions there is an L bracket that needs to be installed and without instructions you just have to engineer the install and assume you know where it is suppose to be placed, there is some hole drilling and shimming to install this bracket so preplanning is crucial. Also the heads of the bolts on the ladder brackets hit the ladder tubing when folded causing marring of the stainless tubing.

The platform looks solid enough. I think it will work. As with previous buyers the problem is, no installation instructions. It's not rocket science but, for example, I don't know if a small bracket under the platform should go all the way to one side or a few inches in. Should I use lag bolts or nuts and bolts to go through the hull. ( not supplied ). How complicated can it be to provide instructions? Probably comes from China.

I am a pretty crafty guy, which is why I decided to buy this swim platform even after the poor ratings it got due to no installation instructions. That was a mistake. Not only were there no instructions and likely missing hardware (actually, figuring out what goes where, even the hardware, was the easy part) nothing fit right. I have had to modify every bracket associated with this platform to get them all to fit to my transom correctly. Even then, I will need to make spacers out of Starboard so that the ladder itself doesn't hit the transom when I try to rotate it into the stowed position. I had to grind the platform itself just to make space for the brackets to fit to their mounting positions. That's when I found out that the majority of the construction is some kind of thickened epoxy, not fiberglass, because the lip of the platform broke off on my Dremel and me. Had this not happened, I would have sent the product back. I had originally planned to help others out by writing the instructions on how to put this together, but after three weeks of tweaking this on and off after work and still not having it on my boat, I will do everyone a favor and strongly recommend not buying this product. I wish I had gone to a different make for my purchase.
