I purchased this product based on other reviews. Prior to writting a review I decided to use it for a week or so. I am wired kind of tight so sleep at times is difficult, especially the 3:30AM wake up. In addition I would wake up in the morning with adrenalin flowing. I do use a CPAP machine with good numbers so the apnea was/is not the cause. Ok, I go to sleep within 30 minutes of taking the Melatonin. The 3:30 wakeup still occurs, however, in short order I am back to sleep. The best result from this product is that I wake up relaxed without adrenalin flowing. It took about three days to get the full effect and after a week in a good place, most mornings. So yes I like this product. You can bet I have tried many combinations of melatonin through the years and this one is a keeper.

I'm a night owl and always struggle to go to sleep at a reasonable hour. These WORK. I fall asleep and stay asleep. It's wonderful.

Effective When Needed, With One Small Drawback I purchased Nature Made’s Melatonin 5 mg tablets for my family to use on occasion, and overall, we’ve had a good experience with them. These are not something we take every night, but when we do need a little extra help falling asleep, they definitely get the job done. The tablets work well and fairly quickly. When taken, my family members tend to fall asleep faster than usual and are able to stay asleep through the night, which is a big plus. There’s no tossing and turning, and the sleep feels deep and uninterrupted, especially on nights when winding down is difficult. The main reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that most of the time, when my family wakes up in the morning, they still feel tired and somewhat groggy. While this isn’t extreme and usually wears off after a bit, it’s noticeable enough to mention—especially for those who need to be alert first thing in the morning. That said, when used sparingly, these melatonin tablets are very effective and reliable. They’re easy to take, affordable, and do exactly what they’re meant to do—help with sleep when needed. Overall, this is a solid product that works well, with the only downside being some morning grogginess. I would still recommend it for occasional use, especially for families looking for a dependable sleep aid without making it a nightly habit.

This is my favorite Melatonin. It’s easy to swallow and I think it helps me sleep.

I already use a Walmart melatonin, but it isn’t time release, and often find myself waking up a couple of hours after falling asleep and not being able to get back to sleep. So I bought this hoping to solve that. I do seem to not wake up later when taking this, but it doesn’t help me to fall alsleep to begin with! I find myself having to get up and take one of the walmart melatonin’s to fall asleep. To solve that, I’ve begun to take 2 hoping for better results, and they do seem to work better when I take 2 . But that doubles my cost. They have a lighter color on one side and slightly darker color of lavender on the other, indicating the bi-layer characteristic. I think that the advertised “5mg” is for the ENTIRE pill, not each half. With that being true, it’s not going to work for me. I personally need atleast a 5mg for BOTH sides in order to get effective results, since the initial release would only be 2.5mg’s from the first half. So I can’t completely recommend this melatonin product. Of you don’t mind the extra cost of having to double up, they may be okay for you. But I want the biggest bang for my buck!

Don’t compare it with sleeping pills. Can be taken to improve sleep cycle or treat insomnia. Good thing is i don’t see any side effect.
