This was great for my 5yo granddaughter! After going over the parts, and what to look for in the diagram instructions, she was able to comprehend and follow along on her own. She enjoyed the autonomy and success of her own creation. At 47, I enjoyed the toy and her excitement!

My 5yr old reallllly loves this thing. He’s obsessed with robots and building things, so this was right up his alley. He can sit and spend a good bit of time messing with this, and I love knowing it’s a more educational toy. Also, the little yellow circuit with the light broke pretty recently after we got it, but the company kindly said they would send us a replacement part. Highly recommended this awesome toy and great company!

I got this for my nephew for Christmas and it was his favorite gift! He absolutely loved it and after we built a few circuits together, he did them all on his own (age 6 btw). The instructions are very clear and it's quite durable. The instructions direct one not to short the terminals on the battery pack as it will cause the on-board fuse to blow. My nephew did this a few times inadvertently but the fuse never blew, so that was reassuring. I suggest that the manufacturer install a breaker switch or a fuse that can be easily replaced if it does blow (the current fuse is a hard solder through-hole part that can't be easily accessed). I didn't have any issues with the components not working out of the box. I checked every component with a DMM and they all checked out. This kit doesn't go into any circuit theory (a little bit would be nice) but it is definitely an attention grabber and fun as heck for the kids. I will be buying the next model up for my nephew!

Summary- my 5 year old can do it with help and LOVES it. Pro- easy directions and appealing for kids. Great beginning science thing. Con- the battery pack is stupidly fragile. Mine was broken gave it as a Christmas present so that wasn’t worth the returning it’s just disappointing for an otherwise great gift

Bought 2. My grandson gave one to a friend as a birthday gift and really wanted the same for his birthday. He loved it and immediately began putting it together.

Christmas gift for our 6 year old grandson. He was thrilled when he opened the box and immediately began working with it. Easy directions with pictures, and he’s good with that. Soon he had lights lighting, propellers spinning…so much fun! The little projects progressed in difficulty and added on with complexity. Not sure the batteries can support the drain for the add-ons, but time will tell with that concern, plus he had to set it aside to open other presents. 😊

So much fun! We will be repeat buyers for other kids. This definitely engaged and offered great enrichment for my kiddos in a very safe but practical way.

UPDATE: We received the requested replacement parts in the mail! There was no confirmation or notification from the seller regarding receipt of our request but the items showed up in the mail in time for Christmas stocking stuffers. THANK YOU! Kids still play with this toy and I’ve purchased a much larger set since then that they absolutely love! Bought this for our son and he absolutely LOVED it! He played with it for a few times but the light/fan stopped working consistently then a few weeks later the battery pack cover came loose and now the CD10 piece light is lose so it won’t turn on. We’ve tried contacting customer service and completed their replacement product request but with no response. I’m not sure how best to get ahold of the replacement parts and that’s very unfortunate bc it really is a great toy. I was planning to get the expanded sets for Christmas but given the poor or lack of customer service, will not be moving forward with that. Other than the customer service component, I would highly recommend the product as it’s a great starting point for younger minds to learn about circuits and electricity.

Perfect for the curious beginner, will be purchasing next level up soon.

great for kids learning

Bought this for my 8-year-old son, he is mostly interested in his PC so bought this small set as was not sure he would be interested. It was a present from Santa so just got around to taking a look. It's well built and the instructions are easy to follow, my son had to be prised off his PC to play with this, but did enjoy it. He was soon able to build the models and it gave him a great sense of achievement. He wants to take it to school and show his friends which is great, too early to see if his interest will last but hope it does as I like it as well and want to get bigger sets!
