Building on the revolutionary OneStep fit system, the Tater brings tantrum-free simplicity to fitting kid helmets. Simply put the helmet on, snap the buckle and ride. What could be easier? No strap adjustments to mess with, no worrying about whether it's too tight or to loose around the head, the OneStep system takes the guess work out and reaplces it with a correct fir every time. On the initial fitting, simply snap the buckle closed and make the one-time adjustment of snugging the shin strap to the proper length and that's it. And if the grab-it-and-go simplicity weren't enough, kids will love the cuddly graphics and the integrated flashers that add both fun and visibility. Now instead of not wanting to put a helmet on, kids won't ever want to take them off!

Bell makes it easy to get the right fit
When my two-year-old son opened this helmet as part of his Christmas (we also bought him a balance bike), he backed away frightened and refused to let us put it on his head. But a week later, he was in love with it and begged to wear it all the time (we do have to limit helmet wearing time, as it makes his head very sweaty, even with the seven vent holes). Now, whenever he rides his bike he asks to wear his helmet to "be safe." It's too cute.I love the One Step Fit System, and that Bell includes a specific head circumference measurement so that you know you are buying the right size and that you aren't going to have a hassle trying to get this to fit right on your child. While the safety lights on the back are probably unnecessary for such a small helmet (what toddler rides his bike outside at night?), my son has fun turning them on and off.A quality product. I plan on continuing to buy Bell helmets as my child grows.

My kid wears it...
Well if I can get anything to stay on my kids head (hat, beanie, hood), that's saying something. My kid looks forward to putting this on. Admittedly, it may have more to do with associating it with going on a bike ride but whatever, safety first right. The lights on the back provide that additional "cool/wow/shiny" factor that gets my kid to put the helmet on. The chin strap connector piece is designed so its very pinch-free friendly. The overall quality and build is top notch for such a cheap helmet. The helmet stays securely to the kids head. Bottom line, I don't remember helmets being built like this when I was a kid, they have come a long way since then.

Nice, except the lights are terrible
Pros:Perfect fit on my 4-year-old (52 cm), the elastic suspension works well.Graphics on the shell look great, he loves the design.Red taillights are a neat idea.Cons:Lights arrived with dead batteries, I had to replace two cells immediately to make the light work.Plastic tabs that secure the red lenses are fragile. One tiny piece broke off while replacing batteries, and now the lens falls off constantly, and then the circuit board falls out.Rubber on/off button fits poorly in its hole. Instead of actuating the switch below, it gets mashed halfway through the hole. Then you have to take the lens off to massage the button back into place.Bug screen is only installed on the front vent holes. Why not just cover all the holes for a few extra cents?

Nice Helmet
Okay so I have a son with a small head..and was worried this XS would be too big its NOT bad and its fits correctly. Please dont let ur kid run around with the helmet on top of his head...It should sit right above his eyebrows...THE ONLY thing I dont like about this helmet is they dont send you any extra pads to insert inside. I'm going to have to go to our local bike shop and get them to take a look at it.

No fuss
This is a great helmet. My child is two and the lights are still perfectly fine. Easy to adjust in about 1 minute and easy to put on. Have never pinched her skin because the design is pinch proof. She can even put it on herself and forgets that she is wearing it. Will buy the next size when extra small gets too small.

great, but the light on the back is too tempting for toddlers
This helmet is great for my less-than 2 year old to ride around on his tricycle or strider bike. My only problem is with the light on the back. it is held in with two little plastic bits which my curious toddler pulled out on day one. The pieces are small enough to swallow and there's a battery accessible... and he's still too little to know better - so I had to remove those pieces. Not helpful for a helmet for toddlers.... should be better secured.

Great little helmet!
This helmet has great coverage and fits my 18--month-old daughter very well. There are blinking red lights in the back that you can turn off and on, and the colors are nice.

fits well
fits my 2 year old daughter perfectly. I bought the XS for her 18" head and it fits although she isn't too happy about the strap underneath
