Definitely recommend
This is definitely one of the better ones in terms of designing a good puzzle that is difficult to disassemble and reassemble.

Fun fidget toy
Love how simple this guy is to solve, but really appreciate the aesthetic beauty. It's about 15 minutes of thinking. Real nice and sturdy too.

Love as a gift
These puzzles are great gifts! Heavy metal. Harder to solve than you might expect! Love watching people trying to solve these!

Can you really put a price on the feeling of beating a puzzle?
The puzzle feels well made, and it doesn't feel like you would be able to break this easily (though, I'm sure some will). I think it looks nice, and it should keep you entertained for a little bit. There are NO instructions with the puzzle (or at least any that I could find), so that means if you get horribly lost and don't pay attention you might put yourself into a position that is hard to get out of, so I would take care to remember each move you make so you can put it back together. This puzzle is easy enough to figure out though, and as long as you DON'T FORCE ANYTHING you should be able to go back and reset it easily. Good puzzle, should last a long time, relatively cheap, GET IT!!!!

Good Coffee Table Piece/Conversation Starter
Bought this, along with 3 others (level 3-6 total) for a friend as a Christmas gift. Finally got feedback from him today, and he said this one was REALLY hard, and it took him a long time to figure it out. And even then, he's only got it taken apart, he hasn't put it back together again. He said it was fun, but for those who don't have the patience, they would probably get dejected quickly and stop trying to solve it.

Left on Earth by aliens to determine who gets on the ship when it comes back
Without a doubt, my favorite Hanayama puzzle. Elegant design, durable construction, excellent movement and very engaging. For me, it was one of those puzzles that, for some stages, I could work out faster by just holding it up by one end (like holding a dead mouse by the tail) and staring intently at it. The phases and/or stages that you go through to get it done are wonderful bc it's not a one-move wonder but rather a sequence of very deliberate movements. In other words, it's not likely that you'll just fiddle with it and it will fall apart because you got lucky. That being said, I think it's honorable of Mr. Kobayashi to allow aliens to give his company credit for designing this "puzzle". Anyone who has done it, however, will agree it most certainly was not created by humans. In fact, 9 out of 10 conspiracy theorists agree: It's the closest thing to proof of extraterrestrial existence we currently have. It was intentionally introduced into society years ago to function as a test by which E.T. can determine who to take when the mother ship returns. So... good luck and see you on the ship!!

Took 7 years but I solved it!!
I bought this puzzle in 2018 and Iโve been working on it ever since 2025 off and on a few hours here then Iโll get frustrated. Iโd put it away & not look at it for a couple months and then try again but I want you to know that this 67-year-old man finally solved it today ha ha

Looks elegant and it's level 6 out of 6
My boss is an idiot and I feel dumber simply being at work each day. To prove to myself that I still have a few braincells left, I went out and bought a bunch of level 10 puzzles to self-evaluate. Why puzzles? I figure they are objective with clear goals. And they wouldn't laugh at me if it turns out that I'm the actual brainrot all this time. Anyhow, bought this puzzle last year because it looks elegant and it's level 6 out of 6. It resembles a french horn and a base clef on a keyring, which reminds of merrier time of music classes back in school. I keep this puzzle in the travel bag for those instances waiting for a flight or trains without wifi access. Could only work on it for an hour or two at a time because my head physically gets hot, maybe frying my brain a little each time, trying to solve it. Due to the pandemic it was left untouched in the travel bag all this time. Fast forward. I got fired last week for something stupid. Long story short I came up with a new workflow to conduct business which saves both time and resources. My boss couldn't wrap his head around the concept and fired me for not doing things his way. Whatever. This event reminded me of the collection of puzzles. I snagged the Enigma out of the travel bag this afternoon and determined to solve this thing. My head got hot and at times felt sick to my stomach from the intense concentration. Took a break and put on some relaxation music and I went back at it. One by one, the pieces detach from the cluster. When all are separated, an overwhelming sense of joy flush over me. I'm not an idiot. With a smile like an idiot, I reassemble the pieces back to its original state.
