Treasured Find: Royal Shifters: A Paranormal Suspense Romance

I freaking loved this story! I have never read a book by this author, but I've been missing out on something special. Nancy Corrigan has written this fantastic pbook that is brimming with elements that will have you turning pages way past your bedtime. The storyline is tight with a lot of action and emotional depth. The characters are clearly depicted and you will definitely connect with them. She has written some of the freakiest, most detailed love scenes that I have read in a while. The plot is compelling and you get drawn in right from the start. There is a vile bad guy, evil doers who experiment on innocents, and enough intrigue to keep you invested in reading on to the next book in the series. I will definitely be adding them to my books to buy list. I could not put it down and read it front to back in one sitting.

This book has a lot going on and in a good way. So, you want shifters? Nancy doesn't just give you the run of the mill shifter. NO her hero Rafe, houses three felines. Which he can call upon when needed. Secret Government Agencies, she's got that. You want Biopunk. Well, you have it here. There is a faction that kidnaps shifters and humans like to run experiments on. Immortals: CHECK Gods and Goddesses: CHECK Steamy Sex: CHECK ... I enjoy a little spank and tickle. Some sweaty skin slapping. Tantalizing Tongue Teasing. This book has all that PLUS some. It's a little much. So, I would says it's more than steamy, it's a scalding panhandle. Nancy keeps us out of the fire that I would consider erotica. The storyline had me saying "I'm gonna read 5 more pages, then go to bed. Ohhh. I better read a few more. Then it's a couple hours later and I haven't put it down." When I say I will purchase the next book I will go for the tamer version. The book lacks two things: characters who are as deep as the Mariana Trench (not always an important trait for me) & more detailed background on the creation of the Royals by their Gods (Hopefully, that will be the topic of an upcoming book).

Treasured Find is the first of the Royal Pride series by Nancy Corrigan. This paranormal shifter series is a bit different as there are two different types of shifters in this series. The “Royals” are shifters that have three different animals that they are able to shift into, while others in their world are single shifters meaning they only have one animal in them. While all the shifters live a very long time only the Royals are immortal. This fact has caused some single shifters to turn on the Royals and help some humans kidnap the women and children to be sold into slavery or experimented on to find a way to help all shifters reach immortality. This particular series follows the Alexander Pride as they search for one of the children that the government has gotten wind of after she is adopted by a human. Rafe, the twin brother of the leader of the Alexander Pride, is sent to West Virginia to find the child and if necessary bring her back to the Pride. In the course of his investigation he stumbles into Jazz, a woman who immediately has his attention but also has secret of her own. Jazz is the guardian of twin boys who are also shifters. As they work together to protect the children Rafe discovers that Jazz intrigues him so much because she is his true mate. The fact that she is human causes a lot of concern for Rafe because although is it possible for him to mate with a human it is extremely dangerous and deadly for the human. She must trust him completely and unconditionally in order for this to work, but Jazz has issues from her past which makes it difficult for her to trust shifters. Rafe struggles with his need to claim his mate, protect the children and earn Jazz’s unconditional trust. I started this book on Saturday morning and had it finished by Sunday. The storyline sucked me in and refused to let go. There are some parts of the story that I do wish would have been explained in a little more detail. There are some grammatical errors but I found those to be minor based on how much the story seemed to grab a hold of me and held my interest. It has been awhile since I found a shifter story that really captured my interest so I was very glad to come across this story and very pleasantly surprised at how well this story pulled me in. I absolutely can’t wait to dig into book 2 Beautiful Mistake.

This story has lots of sex scenes, good vs bad plot & hot sexy shifters. Rafe & Jasmine's (Jazz) story has lots of shifters in it & some of the shifters are in one body. Rafe & his family are known as Royal Shifters because the have more than one shifter in their body; they have 3. Rafe & his brothers are in town because they are looking for a shifter child that's been adopted & that's when he meets Jasmine. Unbeknownst to Rafe when they initially meet he doesn't realize that the 2 shifter scents that he smells on her are from her adopted shifter son's; & Rafe & his brothers are looking for a girl shifter. They do eventually find her & her newly appointed guardian as the person who adopted her was killed in a suspicious fire. Megan (she's the female child shifter) & Josh (her guardian) know Jasmine however Josh didn't know that Megan was a shifter until Jasmine told him & she also told him how she knows. Rafe immediately felt something for Jasmine when they met & acted on it. The bad man/shifter is one that is known as a single shifter but he's a greedy one who feels that he should have everything that a Royal does & Rafe & his brothers have a past with the bad shifter man; as he was the one to kill their father & kidnap their sister, Nina. As this is a HEA story you can guess what happens & this book was so good that I read it in 1 day & will be reading the next book in this series.

I found the idea of "Royal" Shifters who can shift into multiple Felines to be intriguing, so even though I've never read any of this Author's books before, I downloaded it. I'm glad that I did. The society presented in this book was different. The characters were well developed. And the plot had some suspense to go along with the hot sex. Add romance and a HEA, and it has enough to make me read it straight through. And because the supporting characters were also amazing, I am eager to go on to Book Two of this series to see how they find their true loves.

Rafe is searching for a missing shifter child when he stumbles upon Jasmine at the local bar. Intrigued by her scent and attracted to her in a way he can't explain, especially since she's human, Rafe decides to pursue her. However, things go sideways when an old enemy decides Jasmine is his next target. Will Rafe choose forever with Jasmine or revenge for his family? This story had a different spin on shifters. Instead of being able to change into one animal, the Royals-Rafe being one of them-carried the souls and ability to shift into three different animals. A unique concept that I hope is further developed in the series. Even with the plot holes, Corrigan kept a decent pace with good suspense and small pockets of humor, but the sex..it seemed like Jasmine and Rafe were getting it on in just about every chapter, and frankly, it got old. I really wish more time had been spent on developing the characters instead of their libidos- I have questions that need answers! The overall plot was intriguing enough for me to continue on and (maybe) garner answers to my questions. TREASURED FIND is a decent start for the first book in a series. Hopefully, the next book continues on successfully.

This was a different style of writing in the shifter community with the characters that pull you in. When there are those that go to look for a missing shifter child that a human had it opens the door to a whole other set of things. Those that are bored to I always say should be careful on that because something is always bound to change that in a flash with even more than would of wanted and when shifter affairs sends Rafe in he will get plenty now. He is also part of a Royal Pride which I found quite intriguing because he has not one but three felines he houses. It would take someone extra special for him because all three would have to agree besides him. Then you meet Jasmine or Jazz as she is called who also has her own secrets that is connected to the girl who is missing but really she knows where she is and then some. This is really just the tip of many factors that come together to form some pretty good suspense with those or should say one in particular who is after the special children. Rafe and his guys know who it is and together with Jazz and her children and others they must stay together to guard those he is after. He is also pulled to her and feels she is the one who can be his even if she is human. The heat of their relationship that builds adds fuel to this story to where at times you are on pins and needles wanting their relationship to grow but needing to end the enemy before there is tragedy. Their is also other characters that will add the right spice to this already fabulous read that by the time you find out if she truly can be the bridge you are on overload and when you reach the ending of this one you are jelly. Also as one of Rafe's cats might do you are licking your lips with satisfaction.

Treasured Find is the start of a new series by Nancy Corrigan. We meet Rafe Alexander, a ‘Royal’ shifter that can shift into three different large cats, tiger, lion and jaguar. Rafe works for Shifters Affairs that helps protect shifters from people who might use or abuse them. He is sent to a town to investigate a fire where a human died and a shifter child survived. He finds his mate in Jasmine (Jazz) while looking into the suspicion fire. Jasmine is hiding something and Rafe is determined to find the answer and protect her. There are well developed characters that pull you into the story. There is a mystery, about how Jazz got twin boys. I liked this book and I want to know more. I will be reading more in this series. I am going to find more books written by Nancy Corrigan.
