Smart Minds The Original Wooden Sudoku Board

My father owns and regularly enjoys another (better) version of this board from the same company, Smart Minds, which has a removable grid:  Wood Sudoku Board That ANOTHER board is absolutely great and high quality, much better than any other wooden board we've tried (more than just a few).Removable grid also adds convenience to put included puzzles under the grid. It is also possible to print them off computer.Take into account that all of these boards suffer from a lack of small (thinking) tiles which you will eventually need on a higher (hard, very hard) levels unless you can keep all possible variations in your memory.So eventually you will end up buying another set or even two just to add more small tiles, since you can't buy them separately anywhere, even on eBay.The two sets, even though from the same manufacturer, are for some reason not compatible because of a different size of tiles - set described here has slightly larger tiles which in my opinion is not that comfortable given the fact that the grid is larger and more difficult to keep it completely in sight.Few comments on the previous reviews. It does include nice booklet with 100 puzzles & solutions now. There were no missing pieces. The board was quite even.The major flaw though is that side packets are so shallow (unlike the version with removable grid mentioned above) that large tiles on left side would fall flat if you try to take any one of them... And the small tiles on the right side would fall off the board while taking one..So my advise: get a board with removable grid even though the price is significantly higher.Good luck, hope my review was helpful to you!

OMG! If you are like me and LOVE Sudoku this is the board version for you. After doing a lot of research on line and reading reviews I took a chance on this one and it was the best decision. The product is well made. It has a very nice look to it as well. It comes with a velvety type bag to hold the tiles when not in use. The tiles actually do pretty much stay in place on the top when you sort them there. It's also nice to have the dividers between tiles on the board as well as the ability to make the numbers that it starts with in a different color so you don't get confused. But the clincher was the little number blocks you can put in the section in the front. To have the ability to put up to 4 small number tiles in each section when you are not sure what the correct number is is the best! No more confusion if that was the one you were guessing on or not. A definite 2 thumbs up.

Gift - Excellent Quality and very rugged game.

For a used board, everything seemed to be there. All large tiles accounted for. Could have used more smaller "thinking" tiles. For the price, it was good.

A great game that is well constructed. I play it daily with pleasure.

Makes Sudoku easier to do than on paper, and no chance of tossing in the wastebasket by mistake

There were pieces missing from this game. I was totally discouraged. I had to return the game after I realized the missing pieces. I eventually received a refund.

We used this when we stayed at a vacation cottage and loved it so much I orderd it. The wooden board makes it easy to keep track of your options in each square as you solve the puzzle!
