This book is about thriving as your best self. It's about thriving in a world where so many people settle for average.ย Other books on personality types include brief descriptions of each type, sometimes with a few tips. This book goes deeper than any other book, website or guide and includes the reasoning behind the strategies so you can truly understand the INTJ.

Typos also not that informative.
I say this as kindly as I can, donโt market a book towards the โmastermindโ personality if youโre going to put four different typos for the wrong personality. On top of that, it really isnโt an informative book. I donโt think this is what a new INTJ (what I was when I got this) is going to be looking for to learn about themselves.

A Must Read
This book was incredibly helpful and informative. The way the author breaks down the information is very easy to read and I felt like I got even more insight than I was hoping for.

Would have liked to see more depth in this volume
Would have liked to see more depth in this volume. Very good for an introduction to the concept of personality typing. Not so good for someone who understands the topic and would like more investigative research into the individual type described.

Not what I expected. Not terrible, though.
In many ways, I regret buying this book blindly. I was interested in finding something to better explain the way I think and feel. And in full honesty, the best info I have found in here are the quotes in the negining of the book. I have found 4 typos, stating the wrong personality type, and am negining to wonder if the author understands the definition of "revise". I believe you can find the same content online, and better information in-fact. I'm disappointed and while it isn't terrible, it isn't what I think many INTJ's will be looking for. I don't recommend this book.

Gives you some perspective into your personality
Gives you good insight into your inner self and some good general information. Information seemed to repeat itself a few times and some of the information wasn't relevant to my personality but there was about 20-30 pages of good solid material I underlined.

Being an INTJ, I couldn't help but notice 3 glaring typo mistakes. It seems that the author has used the INFP template to write this book and forgot to change some of the lines from INFP to INTJ. See page 33, 41, etc. It seems that the 1st edition has not been proof read. The section headings are INFP. This confuses the reader, especially so for thinkers who desire precise logic. I would strongly suggest interested buyers to buy the 2nd edition after these mistakes have been corrected. I would be pleased if the publisher can replace an edited copy for me.

Dan Johnston said in this book that he is a writer. I beg to differ. A writer knows how to capitvate the audience with their prose whilst expounding profound truths. The things that he wrote in this book, whilst true, were unremarkable and platitudinous in nature. He did not even explain Jungian Theory in depth and its evident that he is not knowledgeable in this area. Save your money. Iโm going to look for a book on INTJs by A J Drenth. His online article contains more in the way of information than the 99- page meretricious book written by Dan Johnston. Also, there is a number of typographical errors in this book. ( Talking about INFP instead of INTJs). Then the silly quotes from INTJs. Itโs ironic because INTJs love knowledge and are deep thinkers. We come to books to find something esoteric or arcane not the surface-level garbage proffered by Mr Johnston- he must have no care whatever for the customer.

I wasn't concerned about the reviews, and rarely am when I bought this because when it comes to work I expect to be factual I read a lot and quickly, so unlike a novel - someones else's opinion or understanding of the narrative is not important to me. At age 44 I only just did the MBTi and was hoping for more insight into my type. This is a warning for others who do read reviews - the other reviewers are correct and I am posting this because I am a little offended that this sloppy product is being sold and shipped. This book is all opinion and conjecture, cribbed together from the internet. It is - as others have pointed out - so badly edited that the INFP type is plugged in on a variety of pages making it seem no more reliable then astrology. The job 'strategic planner' and 'management consultant' appear each multiple times on the same page in the same list of suggested occupations. There may be more but the book is already in my recycling bin.I would not have spent more time on the review then I did 'reading' the book but for the fact it was so offensive that money is being charged for this. High School terms papers are more insightful. And with a lot less filler, like repeating the same jobs on the same lists to make it seem longer.

Some good advice in here and it'll be annoyingly knowing of you if you are an ITJN but considering its a book aimed at ITJNs its rather annoying that some sections are titled for other personality ties (copy&paste job) and several other proof-reading faux-pars when ITJNs are exactly the type of people that sloppy mistake annoy.

Not Recommended
This book is not worth the purchase. It is conjecture based on the author's personal experience, and only a basic understanding of personality types. The author is neither a psychologist nor a psychiatrist. Reading information which is publicly available online by those qualified to render it is a better use of your time, and resources.

This book does have so good pointers at the start but I was always waiting for the book to go into more detail in points that were made which I felt it didn't.I would like to see concrete facts used rather than opinion.
