Red requires 3 or 4 coats
Velvet underglazes are the best if you apply them correctly. Go over an item by brushing horizontally on first coat, after drying brush using vertical coat, after drying brush another horizontal coat, and if necessary, a final vertical coat. If painting on bisque, brush on clear glaze in a light coat. Color is deep red
