These are by far one of the best peripherals I've bought for gaming. Good headphones still are a must, but after you purchase yourself a pair of directional-sound headphones, get these bad boys. I play a decent amount of first person shooters and as soon as my brain and hands got adjusted to them, my scores went up by a good 10-20% each game and I know I didn't just get better in the span of one day, but I do know these just make my controller feel... right. I personally play with one on my right thumb stick and have the there on my backup controller so I don't have to switch them when one does, but also because I've found that to be most ergonomically-friendly for me. Now I play a lot of Rocket League and they don't help as much for these types of games but, like I said in the title, I cannot comfortably play without them. PROS: Comfortable, makes precision movements so much more feasible, more feel for the analog stick, and overall just a must-have if you're an avid gamer or even just play on weekends. CONS: They do take a good 30 or so minutes to fully get used to, but once you do this list is eliminated beside one more thing... I've had these for a few months now and I've tried playing without them one time and it felt like my movements were so sporadic. Beware that once you have these there's no going back. TL;DR 8/8 would buy again. Great quality, great feel, better aiming and better gaming.

You can count me among those that thought they were just a cheesy gimmick. I was just getting tired of the fact that the PS4 controller, though mostly perfect, has a weird, kinda slippy dome with a ridge that I just didn't love using for a long time while playing FPSes. I wanted to get something that felt better and sort of reluctantly gave these a try. I get that using a K and spelling freak "freek" is kinda cheesy. I get that they make your sticks kinda dorky and tall. Don't care, these things feel AMAZING. Huge increase in precision, allow me to use way higher sensitivities but still aim accurately when needed. Could track enemies better, was less erratic in my aiming, and in turn, felt more confident. Be reasonable in your expectations, however; you're probably not gonna buy these and go pro if you aren't already. I still have my garbage rounds and screw up. That being said, I still have a lot more fun and feel a lot better about my precision. Only drawback I can imagine is if you have smaller hands, these might be a little uncomfortable. I don't have beastly mitts by any means, but I have fairly large hands and they're right up against the edge of my comfort zone. If your thumbs are a bit shorter, it might feel uncomfortable, but I haven't had that problem, even after long play sessions. Tldr, awesome product, possibly uncomfortable depending on hand size.

Edit: Below is the original review I wrote. The gist of it was that these are pretty good but they tend to fall off of the controller, which is not really helpful when you're in the middle of a game. I'm editing the review to say that I was eventually able to train myself to use a lighter touch and since then these things have been fantastic. I increased my 3 star review to 4 stars to reflect that. I didn't give them 5 because, even if you *can* get used to them as they are, they really could do with a better attachment to the controller. - End edit. If you have a very light touch on the stick these are probably fantastic. The grip of the rubber feels great and the extra length really does help you make more precise movements. I was on the fence until I tried them but they do make a big difference. This is all great until one inevitably falls off during an intense moment in your game and now you have to either frantically reattach it or try to play with one extended stick and one short one. It's not just me either, they fall off when my friends have tried them as well. It's a shame because when they stay on they really are a big help, but overall it's no good if they're going to pop right off when things get tough. I guess you could glue them down but I haven't been willing to go quite that far. Again, if you always keep a light touch and want a bit of extra precision in your gaming I'd definitely recommend these and for you this is probably a 5-star product once you get used to it. But if you're like me and most people I know and tend to push the sticks a bit harder during your most intense gaming moments, these are going to let you down whenever you need them the most.

I think I discovered these accidentally, then laughed them off as completely frivolous. I never thought I would stoop so low as to be "that guy" that bought accessories for his controller. I am now "that guy" and I'm loving it. Believe what you will about the perception of adding doo-dads to your joysticks, but it is basic science behind these things, and despite what some nut jobs out there believe, science actually works. If you think about your finger being a laser pointer, at 5 feet away from a large barn, you have to move your entire arm to point from one end of the barn to the other. If you stand 100 feet from the barn, you just have to move your finger to cover that distance. That's the extra sensitivity these sticks allow as well as the reduction in effort to get to the extremes. Also, my gross hands were wearing down the surface of the DS4 sticks, and these are holding up very well. If you spend any significant amount of hours playing FPS-style games (or any type of games for that matter), these are a must buy.

These extenders feel fantastic on a PS4 controller. They give the extra bit of needed height, and the nubs on them have a great amount of grip for my thumb. Without the grips, my thumbs tend to slide off the stick as the indent is not deep enough and there is no nubs on the standard PS4 controller itself. The problem is keeping these on the stick. These simply snap over the existing thumbstick with 3 grips at the bottom it to keep it attached. The problem is, these fall off pretty regularly during play. During a 2 hours session of GeoWars3, I had both sides fall off about 4 times each. Also, the 3 grips at the bottom need to be positioned perfectly or they will rub against the plastic of the controller, causing a slight skip if you're trying to go in a circular motion. This is not so much of a problem as since they're not on very tight, you can twist them to be at just the right angle. The issue with these falling off could probably be remedied with a some super glue, but then good luck getting these back off should you wish to. If you don't mind gluing these to your controller, I could not recommend them enough. If you don't want to glue them on and play very casually, the falling off probably won't be much of a problem. If you're looking at these for a competitive game, then you may want to steer clear as they will very likely fall off mid-game, causing a lot of frustration.

I like to play video games, but I'm not too good at them. I needed some help and I definitely got it! If you're looking into these, you probably know the concept behind them, so here is just my experience with them. I had some reservations when purchasing this product. Here they are and all the questions addressed: 1. Would the product harm the plastic on my thumbsticks? -No!!! This product doesn't so much as leave a scratch on the thumbstick. I am still cautious when removing and reapplying the KontrolFreeks, but i don't think I have to be. 2. Will the product snap off when I am playing my video games? -Somehow, NO!!! The product stays on for FPS games just fine. I take off the control freeks for NHL, but these are great for racing and FPS games. Yes, they have the SpeedFreeks, but those are just a waste of money. The physics don't change. 3. Will the connectors of the product restrict my motion at all? That is, will the thumbstick be restricted in any way? -Nope. You do have to put on the KontrolFreeks at a certain angle, but it isn't hard to figure out. When applying, just be cautious of the clip rubbing on the top right portion of the controller. Other than that, there is a clearance everywhere. 4. Will the product work? (most important question) -Finally, a YES!!! I have always had a problem aiming and setting sensitivity to my correct preference. Well, I was able to quadruple my sensitivity and they feel fantastic! I can now turn and shoot really quickly while maintaining my accuracy when only making short movements.

I bought those extended grips more than a year ago, if not two. And they've been perfect ever since. To be honest, I couldn't feel that much of a difference when using them for FPS games. So don't believe all the crazy hype on the internet that mentions insane accuracy and advantage. It's just a simple piece that's more relaxing for your finger, and might offer just a tiny bit of more accuracy since you can be more sensitive to moving the stick since it is extended. I am only using it for the right stick for aiming and using the normal grip on the left one. I still have the other extended grip in the pack til this day and never needed to replace the older one.

I bought these cause the rubber was wearing off the thumbsticks, and my accuracy wasn't that great on call of duty and other FPS, so I bought these and the control freaks are very pricy but They Are Worth It!. At first, it can be hard getting use to the new high extension of the thumb sticks, but once you play 5-10 games, you will never want to go back using the old thumbsticks, and they're comfortable and improves presicion and accuracy at a higher rate, but I can't promise that you can make the recoil on LMGs zero, but it's really helpful and I HIGHLY recomend buying this product.

I can no longer comfortably game without KontrolFreek extenders. They do preserve your controller thumb sticks but most importantly these offer comfort and improved accuracy. Couldn’t recommend these products more.

You have to adjust your look sensitivity and it might take a while to get used to, but beyond that its all good.

Schnelle Lieferung! Der Preis ist völlig gerechtfertigt, solange es einigermaßen lange hält. Man kann durch den verlängertren Heben wirklich deutlich besser zielen, hätte ich nicht gedacht. Sie sitzen perfekt und richtig stramm auf den Sticks. Die Preisdiskussion ist müßig. Wenn ich etwas für einen bestimmten Preis kaufe, muss ich nachher nicht sagen, dass es zu teuer ist. Außer das Produkt ist schlecht, und das ist es definitiv nicht.
