Indoor / Outdoor PA Horn Speaker - 6.3” Portable PA Speaker with 8 Ohms Impedance & 25 Watts Peak Power - Mounting Bracket & Hardware Included - Pyle PHSP6K, White, 6.3-Inch

I purchased two of these speakers to build a DIY electronic game caller similar to the commercially-available FoxPro units. I am very happy with the result. PROS: - The output is VERY loud, if you supply the correct wattage from an amplifier. - These speakers are made of coated metal and look to be very weather-durable. - The speaker comes pre-wired with a positive and negative lead (approximately 12") which makes connections easy for most small projects. - The mounting bracket is very durable as well, and the angle of the speaker in the bracket is adjustable. CONS: - If you're trying to build something to play music, this may not be the best option. These speakers don't seem to be designed for playing music, as I don't think they have a very full audio range. They do handle speech and animal sounds without issue, but music sounds a little flat. - As they are made of metal, they're a bit heavy, but not so much as to be problematic. OVERALL: - Very good quality, especially for the price. - Would recommend for any type of PA-speaker type project.

Would have given 5 stars if it had a wire and jack attached. Speaker sounds good, good sound with plenty of power. Did have to wire in a 3.5mm jack and 10ft of wire to run this guy where I wanted it on my truck. Using as a public address on my mobile in the F150, President McKinley radio, ran wire through the firewall and mounted under the hood. It’s plenty loud enough to hear probably 50 ft from the truck. Overall I’m pleased and would buy again, wish it had wire and jack though.

Simple to install and its construction is of very high quality. The components are weather-resistant. Despite the weight, the aluminum body adds to its strength and probably its longevity over the next few years. When mounting, I recommend using stock bolts if at all possible. I was lucky to find one bolt inside the engine compartment. After removing this bolt (a zero-day bolt) I cleaned it thoroughly with a degreaser and allowed it to dry completely. I then slathered on a thick coating of red Loctite so that it won't move under vibration. As another user stated, the Pyle horns have "PA" audio-quality. This means that the mids and highs are focused rather than the lows -- so there's virtually no bass; however, despite it's small size (6") it still can put out serious volume given the proper radio and/or amplifier. Very nice add-on piece to my Kenwood VHF mobile radio. Even at maximum volume there's zero distortion.

I bought this speaker for a radio i was building for work and I wanted something loud. My initial thought of the speaker was quite high, the speaker is made out of metal. But after A few minuets of power the speaker quit working. I took the speaker apart and the voice coil is completely burnt. I was very disjointed in the build quality

Speaker is a but weak. That said, it's a sturdy metal cone and easy to install. I hooked it up to the PA feature for my CB. While not overly loud, it's loud enough to hear from about 25 ft. It doesn't come with any length of audio cord so that is extra. No big deal. For the price and it's intended use, I'm happy. I wouldn't use this as an emergency public address system like for rolling through a neighborhood advising people of a tornado or anything.

The speakers are quite compact and sturdy. But they are not very loud. Won't work for the crowd control application for my rocket club. But at the price, I probably will not return them. They will be useful at indoor presentations.

Ordered this about a month ago easy to instal and plenty loud enough to get everyone's attention around you. Sturdy as well I mounted mine under the hood of my truck even after several trips through rough terrain the joe still works and loud as ever!! Defiantly recommended

I ordered the 8.1 inch speaker and got the smaller one by mistake. I contacted Amazon's customer service and they sent out the correct one right away, so I'm very happy with Amazon's quick response. Obviously you can't expect high fidelity from a horn speaker, but it definitely reproduces voice clearly. I hooked it up to only a 10-watt amp and it is LOUD! If I ever need another PA horn I'm definitely coming back to this one!

Replaced the speakers in my icecream truck with this model. Works good

Powerful and clear for both indoor and outdoor use. Easy to mount and great quality for the price.

Have used this for a petrol station forecourt PA system and it is loud and clear over the c.50ft range that it needs to be. Arrived quickly with Prime which was a bonus. I chose this over a similarly priced one from Maplin due to this having a higher wattage output and quicker delivery.
