I didn’t contact this seller nor plan on reaching out for any type of refund or compensation. For this, I’m giving a 5 star review. Great customer service! And I’m excited for my son to try out his new net. Net appeared to be sturdy and I bought this since it was compact and could easily be carried in my son’s fishing bag. Unfortunately, it snapped in half the first time he used it. I’m giving 3 stars because he hooked an 8 lb trout and I believe under different circumstances this net would have been just fine (smaller fish). I don’t regret the purchase, but will be looking for something more sturdy to replace this one.

The net is pretty sturdy. However the handle broke upon first use. Update. The vendor addressing the issue immediately. I'm giving it another try.

This is a great net. Folds easily, stores in a camp chair carry bag and is very light. I have netted many trout in it and have never lost one. The only negative aspect is that the netting mesh is too small so if you net a fish caught on any treble hook or lure the exposed hooks get caught in the mesh and are difficult to get out. I wish they made this with one inch netting.

Reading the bad reviews and looking at the review pics makes one thing perfectly clear: people are misusing this net. They cheaped out and bought a lightweight net meant for smaller fish and claim it's bad because they should have bought a larger net. In other words, it's all user error. This is a great net at a great price. It's sturdy and well built, and most importantly -- it's meant for small fish. Three pounder trout? Yeah, excellent. 15 pound fish? Nope, go buy something bigger. Bank fishing? Yeah, this works great. You can pull out fish easily with it, especially if you're on a dock or other spot that puts a railing in front of you. It's easy to adjust the length and the net is nice and wide to scoop up a fish. If you need a net for your boat, this isn't it. Don't buy this. Go buy a bigger net.

Bought for when grandkids, as they love catching small fish from my pond. Handle broke after 3 uses. CHEAP, IT SNAPPED RIGHT IN HALF. I was watching kids and they put it in the water lifted it with 1 baby goldfish in it and the handle broke off.

Update: The company reached out regarding my review and refunded my purchase. They also offered a replacement but I did not want to send them my shipping information (per Amazon customer warnings in the communication). I liked this net because it folds so it would be easy to store. I used it to catch fish from my backyard Koi Pond. Unfortunately, the hinged connection broke during the first use. The aluminum was too weak for the weight of the water and some wet leaves (not a lot, just a few).

Seems awesome. Love the telescoping and the ability to fold it. Will use in a couple weeks from 6/1 and update then.

Perfect - I got this to catch quail in my quail coop, works perfectly. Adjustable, strong enough, and light. Perfect for what I need, I don't know if I would use it for big fish or stronger animals but small birds it is good.

Bei der ersten Benutzung gleich kaputt gegangen. Sah bei der Lieferung schon etwas billig aus aber das hat manchmal ja nichts zu heißen. Dieses Produkt hätte man trzd einfach zurückschicken sollen. Hält absolut nichts aus und ist sofort in Zwei gebrochen. Ärgerlich…
