OSD Audio Commercial 70V Transformer for Speakers, 20W, 15W, 10W, 5W (1, 3, (3 Pack)

The transformers were perfect. I redid an install where they had twleve speakers running from one larger transformer. After I redid the wiring, we had one transformer per speaker unit. this got rid a lot of distortion which was in the older version of this system.

I used these to convert 8-ohm ceiling speakers to 70-volt operation for use in a small restaurant. They are heavy enough to cause me to believe they can handle the rated power without saturation at low frequencies. In my install I used lower wattage taps. The speakers sound great using the 70-volt system.

This transformer is physically very large and heavy. This made it unsuitable for my project as a piezo driver in a very low power portable speaker system, but it worked well for its intended use later.

I ordered several of these to retrofit a client's existing 8 ohm speakers into a 70v system. They were simple to use, and have been working great for a few months now. No complaints. They were also a great price and came quickly, which was a huge benefit. We were on a short timetable trying to set everything up before the business had its grand opening.

We have some old speakers in the nursery and cry room at church. One quit working and I wasn't sure I would find a replacement transformer/ This was a perfect replacement. The old transformer had no markings on it and was paper wrapped. The paper was torn and missing in places. This new one was marked very well and was easy to replace the old one. The wire size is 16 gauge.

I needed a transformer to get a few more watts into an in-wall speaker system. The transformer I had maxed out at 5 watts leading to a very quiet sound despite a speaker that could handle much more. I switched this transformer in and now I have a usable speaker that is actually audible.

the performance is great, even at the 20W tap. I am using it to drive a little 8 Ohm speaker on the 20W tap driven by Lab.Gruppen 70V amp.
