Is the main chamber in silver style 2 lined with another metal or is it 100% copper?

If you have copper inside it might tarnish,so they could have put some metal coating to prevent it, I hope it is not a toxic coating because I use the hot water from samovar to make my tea

Does the samovar turn black over time?

Mine went from the traditional copper color to a cherry red and is now getting lighter. Parts of the water jacket are more of a silvery copper color. It is still beautiful and is by far the best samovar I have ever owned. It has way out performed any Russian samovar I have owned. I have owned a lot of Russian ones.
