Simple and reliable
I bought another, more expensive unit and did nothing but struggle to try to get it to work. Turned out it was a faulty unit. I then went to the YouTube site of "the most famous doctors on the internet," who recommended this unit. It's a much simpler, less expensive unit, and it delivered. Within 5 minutes of pulling it out of the box, it had it on my knee and was receiving pulses. It's still a bit early to tell if it works to help heal a meniscus tear, but it's a breeze to set up and operate. For that, I'm grateful. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some healing results!

Great TENS Unit!
I took a spill on the ice, which ultimately lead to physical therapy. My therapist introduced me to TENS as a pain management solution for my hip and for the accompanying sciatica. This was the 3rd device I tried, and I will look no further. This one offered more settings and higher intensities than what I was able to purchase at the local drug store. In fact, it rivaled what my therapist was using. The pads for me have been extremely durable, after dozens of sessions, they still stick just fine. When not in use, I simply put the pads on the clear plastic film they were originally delivered on, and roll up the wires. I have been very pleased with my iReliev; it has saved me a fortune in ibuprofen and naproxen.

Great Unit Poorly designed case
Purchased this to help with lower back pain. It does help with temporary relief but of course treats only symptoms. Reasons I purchase this unit over others: 1) Case that clips in pocket and holds unit 2) Continuous stimulation setting 3) You can set the timer up to 60 min 4) Uses 3 AAA batteries (instead of button or internal rechargeable) 5) Better quality pads than cheaper models The case that comes with this is too loose for the unit. I am surprised to see that no one is talking about this. I have had it fall out of my shirt and jeans pockets every time a bend over or lean any direction where the unit can slide out. Let a friend use this and had the same complaint from here. It has hit the floor over and over. This one factor would make me reconsider the purchase if buying again. That said, the unit itself works great. Has 8 modes. Some deliver a single pulse type, some do combinations of the pulses and one does a continuous stimulation. You can set the timer up to 60 min, a big plus and restart the cycle as many times as you like. Takes 3AAA batteries, another plus, and they last many many hours. There are 4 pads. You can use a set of two on each side of the area you want to stimulate. The areas can be on different parts of the body. The leads are sufficiently long to do upper lower back, or lower back and shoulder etc. When you select a mode it applies to both sets of pads. In other words you cannot set one pair of pads to one mode and the other pair to a different mode. You can however vary the intensity, setting one set to one intensity and the other set to a different intensity. If you change modes the intensity levels go back to 0. You must reset the intensity by choosing a channel (1 or 2) and pressing an up button until the desired intensity is reached for each set of pads every time the mode is changed. The intensity levels go far above what I would ever use (which is level 7 or 8). Bottom line: Love the unit, holder needs improvement. Putting double sided tape in holder to help unit stay in. If buying again, I would probably move up to a more expensive unit but also do not regret this purchase.

Don't hesitate
Awesome device to add into your self care routine! I've been to physical therapy for 3 injuries in the past several years and they always finish the session with TENS and ice. My favorite part of the visit! So, I finally decided to get one for home use. Why did I wait sooooo long?! I also bought one for my FIL, who suffers from back and knee pain, and my mom, who suffers from back and neck pain. This unit is easy to use and effective for many different aches & pains.

Easy to operate, easy to conceal, works great
After being recommended this product from a friend, I gave it a try and am satisfied with the purchase. The device is small, no bigger than a small MP3 player or the like, and is easily concealable in a pocket. I use this on my back while at work throughout the day. The device is easy to operate - You turn it on, and press the left or right button to select which set of pads you wish, and then use the up or down button to increment or decrease the "power". My friend recommend washing the pads after use with water, but I have just replaced them directly on to the plastic sheet they came on and they are still sticking after 20-30 uses.

A great TENS Unit!
I've had 3 spinal fusions, and just blew out two more discs in my lower back. I hate taking pain pills, so I bought this to cut down on the pain, and hopefully the pills. This unit works great! My last one cost $850. This one works just as well. My pain med use has been cut in half. Small, lightweight, but packs plenty of power to make the pain go away.

Not the cure you wish it was
Let me start off by saying if you’re looking for anything that might help with your pain, this can certainly do so. Just don’t expect it to cure you or make your pain subside tremendously. The mechanism behind this device is very simple. All it essentially does is mask your pain while the product is in use, instead of help you make it better as a more permanent solution. You are tricking your brain with this device into transmitting pain signals and receiving them as touch signals. It’s doing nothing to help you in the long term. The second you stop using the device, the pain will come back. It’s the equivalent of hitting your foot against a corner of furniture and rubbing it to make it feel better. The pain that is there in the foot is overtaken by the rubbing and tricks your brain into making it feel better. This device, while useful for the present pain you’re experiencing, will relieve you so long as you use it. The reality is, it will most likely end up sitting in a drawer tucked away for an eternity after the first few weeks of use because you will subconsciously know it isn’t solving the problem, it’s only masking it for a small duration. And sometimes these small durations of pain free relaxation can be worth it for some, and if that’s the case, by all means get it. But know you will receive a plastic little item that isn’t worth more than $5 to manufacture. Know that the expense of future batteries, adhesives, and lotion rub on’s you’ll eventually spend money on better be worth the few minutes of pain relief Youl experience while using the product. Otherwise, the reality is it’s a lot more likely Youl tuck the product away at some point soon after purchasing and never bother with it again. Save yourself the $60 or so and get a deep tissue massage for an hour, it might just do the trick you crave so badly for

Easy to use, effective, great value
I bought this a while back after suffering from shoulder and neck aches due to posture and then a car accident. My physical therapist reccomended buying one after using a professional giant one during my sessions. I looked at a million different ones and wanted one portable with decent reviews and with multiple levels and patterns. It's really easy to use and I find that it does help - especially when place on my shoulder areas. I bring this with me to work every day.

Weaker than advertised
The TENS machine looks good, but the maximum intensity is on the lower side of the intensity range of professional TENS machines
